How did you discover Wattpad?

I really discovered it when I was looking for a place to write online. This seemed like a very nice start.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I believe I've had Wattpad for over 10 months now, and I go online everyday. It's a healthy addiction.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

A meaning? Why of course! Susan Scotson is a pen name, much like J.K Rowling would be. I didn't want to disclose my real name, so I used this.. It still retains some of my original name, but very little of it is there.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I started writing because I felt that it was a way to really relax, enjoy myself without having to exert myself. Here, everyone is very nice to each other, and your work would never be discriminated. I found my love for writing about 2-3 years ago, back when I was a wee little ten year old.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

I honestly must say that my favorite author of all time would be George Devalier. He's on FanFiction.net, though. But, his story, Auf Wiederseh'n, Sweetheart, is a must read for all GerIta fans. I personally love all books with a little bit of hurt/comfort, a touch of romance, and then the occasional tragedy here and there.

Do you want a career in writing?

I personally would love to have a career in writing. I always wanted to be like Michael Limjoco, as well as the author of The Golden Syph.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

My beta. She's on a different site, though she is the nicest person I could ever know. She's like my second mom, in a sense. She gives me beautiful tips on what to do to improve upcoming chapters, what and where the errors are, and we even have a few laughs! She's just and excellent person all around.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

My book is called 365 Days {Then Came You}. It's a FanFiction, based off of the anime series Hetalia: Axis Powers. It's about an Italian boy, named Feliciano (Italy). He has been diagnosed with leukemia, and, with only a set number of months to live, is beginning to lose hope of being happy. Enter Ludwig (Germany). He is a new transfer student, who meets Feliciano upon what seems to be chance at first. But, as time goes on, the two grow inseparable. Though, how Ludwig will deal with Feliciano's devastating diagnosis is still unclear.

What inspired you to write it?

Well, to be honest, many things inspired me. For one, George DeValier's Auf Wiederseh'n, Sweetheart, placed a key role in the making of it. Then there's the fact that I watched this really inspiring movie, called Letters to God. Both helped me create this story.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

I try my best to update every 4-5 Days. Though, I seem to be slipping, as my last update hasn't been in a week.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My chapters are usually anywhere from 3-5 pages, 4 on some. I tried my best to make it longer, but I just can't seem to. I hope the readers can forgive the shortness. I prefer longer chapters, because then they seem to captivate the reader more.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

To be honest, I truly am. In about a months time since I uploaded it, it's gotten 507 reads. Now, this might be nothing compared to many other fanfictions, but I grant it as a miracle. It showed me that people actually enjoy the stories I create, and that makes me want to do more. I hope to enter this into the Watty's this year. Though, on FanFiction, I'm getting ready to celebrate the 1,000 read.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Advice? Let me see...I'll give you a quote instead. It's helped me through a lot, so I hope it helps you too.

"Storytelling is about two things; it's about the characters and the plot." ~George Lucas

Although this book is not something I would usually read, and I have never read anything anime before, I did think that this was good and very well written. The plot was easy to understand, and even though I didn't know the characters, they were presented well and in a way that I got to know them. I really recommend her to anyone who likes anime!
