How did you discover Wattpad?

I came across a book online, and I really liked it! I was so shocked that it was free, and written by a teen. So after months or reading, and wishing that people could read my stories too, I finally joined.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I will have had it for a year next month! I use it every day, multiple times a day.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

Yes there is. I would always get so caught up in writing, that I would stay up late at night, just pouring out my thoughts…I’d do it so long that I’d be exhausted in the end. And...the 81 part is the name of the most comfortable jeans I own LOL.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I first started writing poetry… they were just words, and emotions in my head that I needed to get out. I wrote my first poem when I was 4! It was a long long time ago. However, I started writing novels much later on, I think I was 12 when I started. I had so many stories in my head, and I always wanted people to write one like the ones I thought of. So I thought, “why not me?” I have always had a very deep, overactive was of thinking. When I started writing, I was hooked.

Who are you favorite authors? What are your favorite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favorite genre?

I can’t say I have a favorite. There are waaay too many that I like. But I usually like a well-plotted romance. I really am a sucker for anything with that in it. Well…that is if it doesn’t lose my interest, they have to have an interesting plot. I believe I have A.D.D. when it comes to that haha.

Do you want a career in writing?

I would like to write professionally one day. I definitely have the passion for it. It might not be a full time thing as I am training in the medical field, but writing will most definitely always be a part in my life.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

Probably my sister. She has always been the first one to read and the first one to help me when I need it. She’s great about that. But, I have many other supporters, and tons on Wattpad.

______________

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

It’s called Of Love and Destiny. It is a fantasy/romance.

Well… it is about a young woman who finds herself feeling trapped in her everyday life. She has a man who loves her, but she isn’t content with that, and has an overwhelming need to be free. The whole thing is about her journey, and her quest to choose her own fate rather than the one selected for her.

What inspired you to write it?

Believe it or not, I got it from a dream I had! I thought, I have to write this down! And the great thing is, now I am able to expound upon it, and bring it up into a real tale. It’s been a lot of fun.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

I update about every 7-14 days depending on my schedule. My last update was 6 days ago.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My chapters are about 5-7 Wattpad pages long. I write around 2,500-3,000 words per chapter.

I think that chapters around 3-8 pages long is long enough. Too short, and your chapters feel rushed, and too long, and I get bored. So a happy medium is the best.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

I am proud of my book. It has recently gotten more and more attention. But, I really would like more reads. It’s kinda disheartening when you pour so much energy into something, and you only get a couple hundred reads. However, if it keeps up its progress I believe it could do splendidly. I have high hopes!

Do you have any advice for new authors?

My advice would be to write something you love. Don’t worry about if you think others will read it or not. Write because it is a part of you being poured out onto the world. It can truly be rewarding and beautiful.

Also, don’t be afraid to go into detail. Your story is worth going on about.

This authorreally has a talent for writing. I loved her book and I thought that it had a really good plot, even if it did start a bit slow. Go and check her out!
