How did you discover Wattpad?
I was looking for a site to read books and was recommended wattpad by a friend
How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?
I've had wattpad around two months and I use it regularly - almost everyday
Is there a meaning behind your username?
Yes, people who know me will know that my username defines the two things I like most: the colour blue and my love for bubblegum.
Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?
I have always enjoyed writing and it was academically my strongest point. However, I was always hesitant about what others would think. I started to write more since close friends and family enjoyed my short stories so much.
Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?
I enjoy reading a variety of books and therefore have read many. However, my favourite author has to be Jane Austen and her book Pride and Prejudice has to be the most loved and read book in my collection. I have read it countless times and admire her writing skills, character adaptation and story line. As for my favourite genre, I can't say since I read almost anything and everything (except for fan fiction).
Do you want a career in writing?
I would love a career in writing but it will have to wait until I finish college.
Who supports you the most in your writing?
I have to say my mom is by far the most supportive of my writing, she has always encouraged me and I know she always will.
_________________________ Choose one of your books: What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?
My most recent book is called "Sweethearts and Trueloves" and is in the romance genre. It's a collection of short stories about different kinds of love and the types of love we may see and/ or experience in our lives.
What inspired you to write it?
I am inspired to write the short stories most of the time from personal experience whereby I see or actually partake in the event which in turn causes me to write about it. As you'll see from my stories they are mostly first person.
How often do you update? When was it last updated?
I try to update weekly but recently I have been very busy and so the last update was two weeks ago.
How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?
Each short story in the collection varies in length depending on the depth of the characters and settings. But so far no story is longer than 1200 words. I personally prefer longer chapters, or in this case short story, since a lot more can be expressed yet one can produce an equally wonderful piece in a shorter amount of words.
Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?
I can honestly say I didn't think my book would even be read once by anyone and so I am more than happy with the amount of reads it has had so far and all the positive feedback I have got with it.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
The most vital part of your writing is the feedback you get, take criticism positively and use it to your advantage as it will help make your story even better.
Her book of short love stories is amazing and I think that she is a great author. You definitely go and check her out.
