How did you discover Wattpad?

I discovered Wattpad through one of my twitter friends, actually. I had some crappy work on another platform, and she said Wattpad would help me grow as a writer.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I've had it for a little more than two years now. Since I'm trying to ace my GCSES in March, I can't use it as often as I want to, but I still try to frequently update and I come online to reply to any comments I receive.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

Not really. My old user was BelieberMahomieAlex. The main character of my first fan fictions name was Alex, and she was involved with both Justin Bieber and Austin Mahone. But after a while, it became embarrassing majorly, so I changed it.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I started writing proper books for this fan page I had on Facebook. It was really bad, back then. I knew nothing about story planning and grammar checking. But I've been writing ever since I was five. My mom would buy me these cool story starting books and I'd spend a lot of time filling them in. I also have a bunch of old Word Documents with stupid little stories. I've always loved writing.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

My all time favorite author is Rainbow Rowell. She has a way with words that bring her characters to life. And I have so many favorite books, it's hard to narrow them down, but my list would probably consist of: Ten, Gretchen McNeil; Attachments, Rainbow Rowell; Looking for Alaska, John Green; Heat Wave, Richard Castle; and The Hunger Games trilogy, Suzanne Collins. I love reading humorous fiction, well written crime novels and young adult books.

Do you want a career in writing?

I always have, and I always will. Ever how I'm studying for a completely different career, at the moment, I plan to have enough material ready by the time I'm well employed so that I can start publishing as a side thing. It's really hard to be solely a writer, especially if the cost of living in your country is high. There are just way too many aspirants out there, and too few publishing houses that genuinely want to read your work.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

My parents, hands down, even though they have no idea what I write. I occasionally share story ideas with them, but I've never shown my work to anyone outside Wattpad. My mom used to buy me those story starter books; she's the reason I developed an interest. Aside from them, I have the most wonderful readers, who are nothing but supporting even when I don't update in months.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

I have this one series called Always, consisting of Forever and Always and Love Always. It's basically a fan fiction about a love triangle with Austin Mahone and Justin Bieber. I wrote this other Facebook page; since I don't like giving up on books, I'm still finishing it here.

What inspired you to write it?

Everyone on that page was writing something based on their favorite song. My initial idea was from Justin's "Never Let You Go."

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

I've finished the first book, and the second book is all I think about. I keep generating ideas and writing, but between writers block and exams, finding time to finish the chapter and update is hard. I last updated a week ago, I think.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

Since I have long duration's between chapters, I like to keep them about 10-14 pages long. I, personally, love it when Wattpad writers post long chapters, because after the wait, a short chapter isn't fulfilling. But the length of the chapter generally depends on the writer; writing long chapters isn't easy, and short ones are quicker to put up.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

Definitely. I'd never imagined it getting the response it has, especially since the first book is still its messy original self. I plan to reconstruct it once I'm done with school, for my own satisfaction and also for my readers.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Stick to it. Even if you think what you're writing is crap, put it on here and keep writing. There are millions of readers here, and you never know, someone might find their new favorite book in yours.

I really like this author. Apart from her JB fanfics which again I do not particularly read, she is a great author and I really like her book A Night In Vegas. I recommend her to all beliebers.
