How did you discover Wattpad?

Through a popular blog, where the blogger was recommending Wattpad

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I've been a member for 2 months now according to my profile!

Is there a meaning behind your username?

I go by a pseudonym for my blog, so set up my Wattpad profile with the first name of my pseudonym and 'urban' is from my blog name

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I've always enjoyed writing, and remember writing short stories in school which I always got good grades on. Over the years I've started writing numerous books but never got far. I had a goal to finally complete a book, and now I have. I think I've got the writing bug now I've done one.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

Though my book isn't of this genre, I tend to read more horror/paranormal type books more than anything. Graham Masterton's 'Mirror' ruined my life in a sense, as mirrors creep me out a lot now, but then I've also read books like Jodi Picoult's 'House Rules' and the Twilight saga (before they were popular, and before the inadequate films!)

Do you want a career in writing?

I wouldn't say I want a career in writing, but I wouldn't say I don't either. I'll carry on with my day job and if anything ever came of writing that would be amazing, but I think it'd be very unlikely. I'd love to get a book published though, it would be another goal to tick off my list.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

I don't talk a lot to people about the fact I write, it's still quite private, but my two sisters have both read my work and I know they'd support me through anything.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

Synergy is a contemporary romance with an urban lit subgenre. It's about two people, with completely different lives, forced into each other's lives through an unplanned pregnancy. It's a modern day romance, it's not perfect or happily ever after, but it's real.

What inspired you to write it?

I've had the idea for years, inspired first through writing fan-fiction in my younger years, and adapted. I always knew the story, it was just getting it down.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

Synergy is completed, but part 2 is currently being written and the first chapter is up, with updates every Thursday.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

They're all about 2000 words or less, and I think they're about perfect in length. (I hope)

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

I'm already over the moon that i've got 1.3K views, that's such a lot to me, and I've only been part of Wattpad for 2 months. I appreciate every read I get because my book's my baby in a way, I've invested so much time and energy into my characters.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

I'm still a new author myself, so I'm definitely still learning the ropes. I'd say just put everything you can into your characters, invest in them and do them justice in your work.

I wasn't quite sure what I was expecting from this author's book, but it book was extraordinary and totally not what I was expecting! Nevertheless, it is a very different book with a unique story line and is very well written. I recommend her to anyone who likes the style of stuff she writes!
