"do you wanna go out with me?" jennie managed to ask after gathering up the courage the past week. chaeyoung's breath hitched. her eyes went wide and she gulped, although jennie didn't really see her as the girl was looking at everywhere except for her.

"you mean like another one of these friendly dates, right?" chaeyoung answered with a question, trying to sideline with the conversation.

"n-no i meant," jennie turns to the younger girl's direction, staring deeply into her eyes. "can you be mine, park chaeyoung?"

"well what did you tell her?!" lisa bugs her bestfriend, dying to know if she's finally taken after all the years she's been complaining that she's crushing over this girl who's a batch higher than them.

chaeng smiles to herself, suddenly feeling all giddy as she remembers what she's planned.

"i told her to give me a week and i'll give her the answer."

lisa raises her eyebrows. today's exactly a week since jennie and the girl talked, does that mean she hasn't answered her?

"what are you gonna–" chaeyoung cuts the thai off as she smacks her arm. "–ow! what was that for?" she complains, removing one of her hands from the steering wheel.

"stop with all the questions and drive! it's almost the bell!"

it really wasn't and lisa knew that. but this is just the normal way chaeyoung shuts people up when she doesn't want to speak anymore. lisa takes a glance at her and smiles, the car is stopped since they're currently on a red light. her bestfriend's wearing a sweater today, which is explainable since it's quite chilly outside. but she doesn't recognize it. lisa practically lives in chaeyoung's house ever since they were small tots running around in their underwear. this sweater isn't hers.

chaeng's phone suddenly vibrates indicating a text message. she looks down at the screen and a smile immediately spreads across her face. lisa faces back to the road as the light now appears to be green. she presses down on the gas, hearing chaeyoung giggle to herself. she takes another peek and sees her blushing, now shutting her phone. their eyes meet and lisa turns back to the road.

"you're in love with her, aren't you?" she asks the blonde girl.

chaeyoung retorts, her blush growing deeper by the second, "it's not really–"

"come on chae," lisa stops again as another red light comes into view. she turns to chaeyoung with a knowing smile, "i know how it feels like to be in love."

"lis..." chaeyoung knows where this is going.

"oh stop being a goof," lisa jokes, playfully pushing the girl's shoulder. "but yeah, i was talking about you."

"lisa, we've talked about this," chae looks back at her, her thumb grazing the girl's jawline. "you know that i love you too."

"yeah yeah, i know." the light turns green as the car moves again. the school's gate comes into view as lisa drives in, finding their usual parking slot. "just because i like kim jisoo now, doesn't mean i love you any less."
