lisa sits in the middle of her room, leo and luca at a distance, playing with each other. she stares at them dearly, capturing photos every minute or so.

she hears a knock on the door, "come in!"

"hey lili," jennie walks in with kuma in her hands, "happy birthday!"

she puts kuma down on the floor and immediately he runs out of the room, the two cats following after him. jennie closes the door and walks to lisa, sitting across her.

"thanks, unnie." the maknae mumbles with a small smile.

"hey, why the long face? you're 22 now! you can finally relate to that taylor swift song you and chaeng absolutely love."

lisa doesn't respond and just looks down onto the floor. moments later, jennie hears her sniffing, making her subconsciously crawl beside the younger girl, wrapping her in a hug.

she shushes her for a while and rubs her back. "what's wrong, love?"

jennie tucks lisa's newly dyed hair behind her ear and tilts her chin up, making their eyes meet. lisa wipes off her tears, "ch-chaeng hasn't talked to me all day," she says lowly, "i don't know if i've done something wrong to her last night or said something that offended her."

"i tried walking up to her to ask but she just ignored me and went to the studio for our comeback."

jennie raises her eyebrows and a soft smile spreads across her face. she says nothing and just hugs lisa as tight as she could, letting the maknae release all her emotions.

it was now 11 PM, still no sign of chaeyoung and lisa sighs. out of all the days her bestfriend wouldn't want to talk to her, it's her birthday. lisa still thinks about what she could've done wrong. is it because she doesn't tag chaeyoung when she posts pictures that were taken by her? did she eat that one chicken nugget chaeyoung reserved for herself? did she not kiss chaeyoung last night? wait– that's it! she forgot to give her a goodnigt kiss. chaeyoung always asked for lisa to do that.

"i'm a fuck up." lisa tells herself as she crosses her arms and stands up from her bed. she walks out her bedroom door, her two cats weren't even following her which made her even more moody.

she walks a few steps to chaeyoung's door, passing by jisoo's bedroom, she decided to ask, "unnie?"

jisoo looks up, she was in the middle of brushing dalgome's fur away from his face, "birthday girl! where are you going?"

"i'm looking for chaeyoung. i have to apologize to her for something," lisa answers with a pout.

jisoo nods at her with a knowing grin, "she's in her room."

lisa leaves her unnie's doorway and finally reaches her bestfriend's door. she stands there for a few seconds, collecting her words of what to say and her courage to knock.

knock knock.

shuffling of footsteps could be heard from inside before the door opens. "lisa-ya," chaeyoung says, her tone seeming to be a bit off for the younger.
