let me tell you a funny story.

it's never a secret that jennie and i live together. or that she is known as the clingier one in our relationship. or that we are in a relationship in general.

i mean, techincally, we never confirmed it. but who cares? everyone's skeptical about it and they're all right. even chaeyoung and lisa were skeptical about it until we just told them the truth. of course chaeyoung got all happy and said she was so proud of us. lisa, however, got all sad. she got sad because jennie and i finally got together after all the years we've been with each other while she was still there crushing over her australian best friend.

the funny thing about it was, chaeyoung liked her back. the chipmunk was actually the one who first developed feelings back when we were trainees considering lisa had a liking towards jennie back then.

things, thankfully, have changed.

just around two months after we told the maknaes about jennie and i's status, they both knocked on our shared bedroom's door and said that they're dating. it was very anti-climactic but lisa was just too excited to finally tell us the good news. chaeyoung was smiling, too, just not all jumpy. we all knew why. i mean, she's all bouncy and talkative when we talk about other people's relationship, but when it comes to her own personal love life, she just rathers to shut up and let the heat flow into her puffy cheeks. tucking her head in the crook of lisa's neck to let everyone know her heart's beating out of her chest.

and why am i bringing up chaeyoung and lisa's love story when this is supposed to be about me and jennie?

well it's because jennie got mad at me.

and she's went to lisa's apartment while chaeyoung was over at mine.

what did we fight about? you may ask?

actually, we didn't fight at all. it was just last night, i left her all alone in the living room because she was sleeping there peacefully and i didn't want to wake her up so i just tucked her in with her fluffy blanket and went upstairs. i woke up in the middle of the night to a figure standing by the edge of our bed, making grumpy noises and saying a soft jichu~ ever so often.

when i tell you i nearly shit myself– i'm not kidding.

"jennie?" i managed to squeak out, both eyes open and my hands inches away from a baseball bat neatly propped up by the headboard.

she didn't answer immediately as she just let out a hmph, "why did you leave me there all alone?" her small voice echoes around the room. at that moment i sighed in relief, thankful she wasn't a serial killer who managed to climb up the house and enter our bedroom. but at the same time, my heart beat went fast. more scared about the fact her tone wasn't recognizable. she didn't sound angry, but she didn't sound exactly happy, either.

"jendeuk, you were sleeping."

"and you didn't even wake me up?"

"you were comfortable!"

"yeah i was comfortable not until i woke up realizing you weren't even there." she answered back with a pout and a scrunch to her forehead.

and that's where it all began.

jennie decided to get her phone and her wallet and head towards chaeng and lisa's apartment, which was just a floor below ours. and there i woke up to chaeyoung being the one laying beside me instead of my girlfriend that morning.
