It was a late tuesday night. Jennie just finished her French lessons at the fifth floor of their university. She checks the time on her phone and it read 9:30 PM. She sighs in relief, this was the time that most of the students are back in their dorms and she was free to roam around and be the introvert that she is.
She carries her backpack, which was filled with her never ending lessons. From her Science textbook to her 156-paged book full of the States' Laws. She was a law student after all.
Her major wasn't at all what she expected. But to be honest, she didn't really know what she was expecting in the first place. She never expected law to be easy peasy lemon squeezy. but since it's what her mom wanted, she decided to pursue it even though her dream was to be a singer.
She now resides in Melbourne, Australia. She's stayed there for atleast over three months now, and she's still adjusting. The only person she's close with as of now is her roommate, Irene. Irene is a senior and would be graduating by the end of the year. She's helped her with some assignments and they hang out once a week or so, but that's mostly it. Jennie doesn't have close friends of her age.
But she's been eyeing this one girl.
She has a somewhat light purple platinum-colored hair. Her skin's fair and her height maybe a few inches taller than Jennie's. The girl was obviously Australian, based on the fact her accent was thick enough to be heard through the whole school's courtyard. But what Jennie didn't know was that the girl was actually Korean. But Jennie wouldn't know that considering she doesn't even know the girl's name.
So as Jennie entered the elevator, pressing the button for the first floor, she closes her eyes, mentally taking note on what else she has to do before she sleeps. She reminds herself that she has this final paper due the day after tomorrow which had a maximum of 5000 words. She also has to prepare for this party she's gonna attend tomorrow, she'll be going with irene since it was a senior party. But she knew sooner or later during that party that she'd be left alone with no one there to accompany her.
Just as the elevator door was about to close, a girl's voice echoes in Jennie's ears, "Wait!"
Jennie opens her eyes, to see the platinum-haired girl running her way with her guitar on her back and some music sheets gripped between her fingers.
She immediately presses the hold button and waits for the girl to come inside the elevator.
"Thanks." the girl bows, breathing heavily. Jennie looks at her, mostly in shock and in confusion. Was she really inside the elevator with the girl she's been eyeing for the past weeks? God, it was even the first time they've officially met and here she was seeing Jennie with her oversized hoodie and her two-day-old sweatpants.
"I'm sorry, are you in a hurry? if I'd known I could have taken the stairs."
"No," Jennie answers her with a smile, "I was actually taking my time. Plus, you have a guitar with you, would you really prefer to use the stairs to go down?"
"Fair point."
The two look at each other but almost immediately, Jennie looks away. she's even prettier up close. she tells herself with a smile unknowingly being plastered across her face.
"Rosie."
"Huh?"
"I'm Rosie," the girl sets aside her guitar and stuffs the music sheets in her bag. "It's actually Roseanne but honestly you can call me anything you want."
"Okay, anything you want." Jennie responds without hesitation.
"Haha funny," Rosie rolls her eyes. This action made Jennie's heart flutter. She's never been this nervous around a girl before. or even around her previous lover, Lisa Manoban.
