The next morning, Stef had been in the kitchen of the home she and her woman shared, filling her body with a warm cup of coffee. She was dressed in a plaid top with denim bottoms, and shoes of a nude pigment. She still hadn't made it clear to Lena about quitting Sex With Me, but still dressed as if it was there that she had to be. Quite honestly, the woman found it hard to disclose any news especially being that so much had been happening.

"Morning, honey," Lena greeted, making her way down the stairs that led into the kitchen. She walked over to where Stef stood, planting a kiss upon her lips.

"Good morning to you, too," Stef said back, once their lips released

"Good morning to you, too," Stef said back, once their lips released. She examined Lena from head to toe, noticing something was awfully different about the woman. She just didn't have her usual spark—that glistening in her eyes that she always carried. "You uh...you slept okay?"
Stef then handed her a mug, assuming she'd have her morning cup of coffee.

But, the mentor moved her body in a motion that rejected the beverage holder. "Hm, I've had better sleep." She breathed rather deeply, feeling her heart race within her chest. "Honestly, I am beginning to feel drained from all of this—everything with Carrie."

"Well, I can definitely see that this has taken a toll on you." The blonde-haired woman took a sip of her heated drink, gliding her right hand upon the other woman's backside. "Have you given any more thought about what you're gonna do about your car?"

Lena sighed, taking a seat at one of the chairs of her kitchen's table. "I have. And, I'm deciding to not press charges." Her shoulders moved in an up and down fashion. "I feel it's best." It was true, she didn't think that she needed to take legal action. She felt that for every wrongdoing that Carrie had done, karma would repay her for.

"Wow, okay," Stef replied, taken aback. She knew that the woman was torn with how she'd handle the situation with Carrie, but had not expected the decision declared. "So, even if surveillance can prove that she was the one to do this, you're just gonna—"

"Let things be?" Lena impeded Stef's words, finishing what she had mouthed. "Yes, because I am not trying to pick a fight here. Especially being who I am and all that I have. Besides, sometimes you just have to take the higher road."

The blonde-haired woman listened carefully. But truthfully, she didn't find much honesty in what her ears allowed her to hear. She remembered how hesitant Lena was in the office when asked about Carrie, how the woman seemed to have needed a moment to think of an answer.
"That's understandable, Lena, it is. But do you really want to let her off the hook like this? I mean, it's because of her that you're taking a cab to and from work right now."

For a second time, the mentor shrugged her shoulders. "Stef, some battles just aren't worth fighting. I've made up my mind, and that's that."

After making their way to Women's Inc, Lena had been in her office speaking with the Surveillance Department, as it was the moment she'd find out who caused the vandalism to her vehicle.
