As their sixth year at Hogwarts begins, Annalise Wood and James Sirius Potter are at the peak of their rivalry. To say they hated eachother would be an understatement.
Although sometimes they brought out the worst in eachother, they also brought out...

THE PAIN ONLY GOT WORSE after a couple hours. She was sitting there like a heartbroken, helpless little girl sobbing endlessly while Roxy and Talia sat beside her supporting her.
"I don't understand." She sobbed, tears streaming down her cheeks. "How could he- how could he even do something so- horrible- and does he have no self respect!" She stuttered helplessly between sobs.
"He doesn't." Roxy said softly, stroking her hair. "He has no self respect because he's a horrible person."
She didn't tell them the real reason why he had cheated. She didn't tell anyone, and as far as she knew no one but her and William knew. She suspected Asher and Eloise might have overheard their conversation, but she doubted it. Asher hadn't said anything about it to her either.
She didn't tell anyone because she was embarrassed. She was hurt that her ex-boyfriend had resorted to sleeping with someone else when she wouldn't have sex with him. It wasn't anything she did. It was because she couldn't give him what he wanted. It was horrible what he had done, but she couldn't bring herself to tell anyone why it had all happened.
She had ran straight to her dorm and Roxy and Talia had arrived about an hour later to see her to see her bawling her eyes, hidden under the covers. They had brought her dinner from the great hall, and stayed with her the entire evening. She had never appreciated her friends more, and she didn't know what the hell she would have done without them.
She had finally stopped crying a couple hours later, although her heart still hurt inside of her. She was never one to cry and the fact that she was crying so much over such a horrible person like William dumbfounded her. Nothing ever hurt her, no one ever got to her. She couldn't understand why it hurt so much.
Somehow this time, she had let her guard down. Maybe that's why he hurt her so bad. Maybe it was because she had been so attached to him for the last year. Roxy was right when she had said the same thing to her just over a month ago. That's the reason she was hurting right now. She felt weak, she felt hopeless, furious at herself for letting a guy do this to her.
She sat silently on her bed, eating the sandwich Talia had brought back from dinner. "You should sleep Annalise." Talia told her. "Sleep it off. It'll feel much better."
"I can't sleep." She replied, her mouth stuffed with chicken and bread. "There's no way I'll be able to fall asleep tonight."
"Then we'll stay up with you all night." Roxy said smiling. "We're here for you."
"I appreciate it guys, I really do, but don't stay up because of me." Annalise said. "I'll just read a book or something, and keep my mind occupied. You should sleep."
Roxy and Talia were hesitant to do so, and stayed up with her for a couple more hours. Annalise could see Roxy's eyes drooping, staying open with great difficulty and Talia who was almost falling over, struggling to stay awake. She yelled at them both to go to bed, and they finally gave in, crawling into their beds, and falling fast asleep.
