"Let's play truth or dare!" Bev exclaims.
"Do I have too?" I think.
I sit down on the floor next to Bill and Ben. I rest my head on Bill's shoulder.
"Haystack, truth or dare?" Richie starts.
"Truth." He states.
"Dang, Haystack that's so boring! What's the longest book you've ever read?" Richie asks.
"Carrie definitely."
We go around the circle before landing on me.
"Stan, truth or dare?" Eddie asks.
"Truth." I basically whisper.
"I know you guys are pretty much dating but I don't want to make assumptions. Are you and Bill dating?" He asks.
"Yeah." I whisper.
"Stan, Bill, that's great! You guys look so happy together!" Mike exclaims. Bill wraps his arm around me, turning my head with his hand, and kissing me.  When we're done playing truth or dare, Bill pulls me off to the side.
"Baby, what's wrong?" He asks, looking at me with genuine concern.
"I don't deserve you and the losers." I whisper, barely audible.
"Stan, I love you so much. You deserve me, you deserve all the happiness and love in the world because I would do anything for you Stanley Uris. The losers care about you. When everyone found out about you starving yourself, when I went into the lobby all of them were crying." Bill explains. He wraps his arms around me.
"I love you too." I say. Bill kisses the top of my head, and he leads me back to the living room where Mike was picking out a movie.
"How about The Goonies?" Mike asks. Everyone agrees, even Eddie. We watch The Goonies, I cuddle up next to Bill, and I look up at him smiling.
At least he's happy. That's all I want.
When the movie is over we all change into our pajamas. I finally comfortable changing in front of the losers, even though there are cut scars on my stomach, and I'm a little skinny than most of the losers. We set up our sleeping bags and we just talk, all the losers falling asleep one by one. First Eddie, then Bev, then Mike, then Ben, and then Richie.
"Stan, you up?" Bill questions.
"Yeah." I whisper.
"Come into my sleeping bag, it's bigger than yours, and I wanna cuddle." Bill explains. I roll up my sleeping bag and I put it under my bed. I walk back downstairs and I slip into Bill's sleeping bag. I instantly feel safer. I smile at Bill's warmth, and his comforting arms. Held out just for me.
"What about my Dad?" I ask.
"We will just say you couldn't find your sleeping bag and mine was the biggest." Bill explains. "Plus, your Dad is coming home tomorrow night. Right?"
"Yeah, I just hope he doesn't come home early." I explain.
"Yeah. I can't have you be taken away from me."
I suddenly lean in and I press my lips onto Bill's soft ones. Suddenly, my Mom walks into the room.
"Bill, your brother died."
I'm so sorry.
