(I know Kokichi probably won't be lying as much in this I just wanted some fluffy stuff with his annoying trait instead)
Kokichi's pov Summer break starts today we've all just headed out of school and I'm on my way to meet the group, we're all coming to say our goodbyes then we're heading home... only issue is I don't exactly have a home or at least one I want to be in considering my dad moved away and my mum tries to beat me every time I walk through the door. I'm not really close enough with anyone in the group I mean I am with Rantaro but he has a lot of siblings I'd feel bad for getting in the way of that and his family time, the only person I really trust is Shuichi but I don't think he's really in favour of me, once I get to the group I do the usual and rock back and forth on my heels whilst everyone else talks until I feel a hand on my shoulder "Hey Kokichi you okay? You look a little preoccupied with your thoughts?" Saihara~chan asks
"Don't worry just figuring out where I'm going to go for the break" I smile
"Oh are you going on holiday Kokichi?"
"Oh yes me and the D.I.C.E group are planning on doing a heist in the carrabians neheehee that's just a lie but you already knew that didn't you mister detective wow you're so smarttt" I giggle knowing its riling him up I hear the taller boy sigh "Kokichi what did you mean you're figuring out where to stay?" I see a slight concern on Saiharas face
"I have nowhere to stay Shumai I'm not going to explain why but I can't stay with Rantaro because he has like 12 siblings and I don't wanna get in the way of his family time butttt I do also know you're an only child anddddd your parents are away a lot, because you talk about their work trips but you think no one else pays attention but I do~" I smile being proud of myself "So I'm staying with you" Before Saihara has a chance to object to it I grab his hand, say bye to the group and start skipping to his house "O-Ouma~Kun w-wait" Shuichi turns me to him I figure he'll probably tell me to go home so I figure it's time to bring out the water works "WAAHHHHH SHUICHI YOU'RE SO MEAN YOU'RE GONNA SEND ME BACK HOME TO GET BEAT!! YOU HAVE NO SOUL" Part of me feels bad for guilting my beloved but for once it wasn't actually a lie suddenly I feel Saihara put his hands over my mouth
"Shhh Kokichi it's okay you can stay with me" He smiles. I swear I can feel the warmth in his smile "Awe thanks also I was just lying that wouldn't happen" I skip along the path next to Shuichi "That's a lie" My beloved speaks I'm taken back for a second but I ignore it, once we get to his house he opens the door and invites me in like usual we go upstairs and Shuichi gets out a book, I'm used to it honestly every time I come round his he reads a book whilst I go through wattpad usually I wouldn't mind it but considering I'm staying here the whole summer I might lose my mind if I have to sit in silence the whole time.
Shuichi's pov Kokichi managed to keep himself distracted for a good half an hour before he got bored I could hear him calling my name and whining I tried not to smirk but I felt a sudden pressure on my legs

I can't help but blush Kokichi looks so cute from that angle. No not cute I mean uh silly "Shuichiiiiiiii I'm bored" I can't help but giggle "W-Well what do you wanna do" I scruff his hair a bit, wow it's surprisingly soft "Well Kokichi I need to go make dinner for both of us so you can come with me if you want?" I see sparks in his eyes
"CAN I HAVE PANTA WITH MY DINNER!?"
I laugh a little and hold my head "I was waiting for you to ask that you know I keep it stocked for you for when you come round" I see his eyes light up as he runs down the stairs I start making dinner whilst Kokichi sits on the floor and drinks his Panta. As I'm serving up our dinner I feel a pair of arms wrap around me

"S-Shumai how long till dinner I'm getting...sleepy" I hear Kokichi speak into my clothes I can't help but blush "U-U-U-Uh dinner coming r-right up" I put our food on the plates and start eating along with Kokichi, once we're done and I rinse our plates and we go back upstairs I finally get changed into my pj's I can't help but catch a glimpse of Kokichis pale body but there seems to be scars coving his fragile skin I won't pry yet he seems to trust me and has stopped lying to me as much I can't say he does the same for the rest of the group or is anywhere near as close to them. I quickly turn around and finish getting into my pj's before Kokichi notices "Hey Shumai can we watch a movie, dinner gave me a little bit of energy so if you're up for it can we?" He smiles a bit
"Sure thing shorty" I tease to see his reaction
"H-Hey that's it friendship over WAHHHH YOU'RE SO MEAN" Kokichi starts with the fake tears before he can carry on I pull him onto the bed and set up my laptop "Oh please Kokichi you love me too much to stop being friends with me" I realise what I just said "S-S-S-Sorry Ouma I didn't mean love I uh uh uh I just meant like but the wrong word slipped out and I-" I'm silenced by the purple haired boy
"God Saihara you sound like me when I accidently tell the truth and haven't prepared a lie" He smirks the same michevious grin I've grown to love "But you're not wrong" He adds I decide not to ask any more questions to avoid getting embarrassed

I put on a detective movie where the detective has to catch the evil leader of an organisation I can't help but laugh it reminds me of Kokichi and I.
I look over to ask Kokichi something about the movie but realize he's already asleep. He looks so content his face seems completely different, he looks safe and wholesome I can't help but smile I quietly put away my laptop and move Kokichi up to a pillow he's surprisingly light I pull the cover over us and just as I start to fall asleep I feel Kokichi put his leg over me and nuzzle into my neck. My face feels like it's on fire but it seems to be making Kokichi comfortable I would be lying if I said I haven't thought about cuddling this cutie I-I mean not cuti-. . . oh who am I kidding I'm in love with Kokichi. I protectively wrap my arms around him and kiss his head which is responded to with a little giggle "You think the ultimate detective would know when someone's asleep or when someone's fake sleeping or in other words lying since ya know I'm a liar..." The shorter giggles I feel panic rise it me "I-I-I'm so sorry Kokichi I can uh let go if you want you just looked cute GAH sorry I mean peaceful" I don't even realize the words stumbling out my mouth till Kokichi silences me with a kiss after the initial shock I kiss back my cheeks feel like fire with the rapid amount of blood rushing to them whilst his pale skin only seems to have a soft pink tint to it "Good night Shumai"
