Summary: Shuichi invites Kokichi out on a surpise date only to fine out Kokichi a lot different from what meets the eye

Shuichi's pov

I've liked Kokichi for a while I'm not sure if he's noticed I know the rest of the group isn't exactly fond of him but that won't stop me even though I get butterflies in my stomach everytime I see him...I don't know how I did it but I-I actually managed to ask him on a date well sort off... It was 2 days ago I was coming out of English and I saw him the beautiful shorty of course he was causing trouble teasing Rantaro and Keebo like always I couldn't help but blush I love to see him having fun and smiling for once without it being a shield...I had asked Rantaro and Keebo the day before to make an excuse to leave Kokichi on his own I watched as Keebo and Rantaro walk off leaving a puzzled Kokichi to himself i-it's now or never I shake my head come on Shuichi you got this I lower my hat and walk over to the purple haired boy "H-Hey K-Kokichi" I smile though he can't see it "Yes my beloved" I feel my heart thump, come on I got this "W-W-Would YouLikeToGoOnADateWithMe!" I instantly regret it oh god hes gonna reject me "O-Oh well Shumai I'd be honoured but-" That all I needed to hear I sprint off and stop when I reach the bathroom... SHIT wheres my hat it must of fell whilst I was running this is just great I sigh and splash water on my face trying to compose myself I have one lesson left and Kokichi's not in it I just have to make it home, I walk into my last lesson and sit down not long before the teacher walks over "Shuichi you seem kind of out of it are you okay?" I nod and just make up some poor excuse though it's clearly not as good as Oumas lies I blush a little as he goes through my head. I hear the bell ring as I leave the classroom trying to be the last one out I make sure to slowly pack up as I know Kokichi bolts for the door as soon as the bell rings he reminds me of a kid sometimes it's adorable I manage to make it to my house...thank god "SHUICHI!" I turn around to see Ouma panting as he slowly walks over "Jesus you walk fast but not fast enough for the supreme leader like me" I smirk and roll my eyes playfully "You never let me answer you" I put my head down
"You didn't have to you said 'I'd be honoured but-"
"But I really wanted to ask mister detective first" It takes me a minute to process what he says WAIT HE WANTS TO GO ON A DATE I can feel the smile on my face "I-I'll pick y-you up at 8?" I try not to squeel the shorter smirks and nods "See you then don't be late or i'll kill you neheehee~" he walks off and I feel like my legs are about to give way I run inside and bounce around I DID IT I DID IT

I get in the car after a few hours of deciding what to wear I settle on a tux with another hat I keep around I stand by his door trying not to shake...

*Knock knock*

When the door unlocks I gasp a little, Kokichi's wearing this black jacket and his normal white trousers but for some reason he has a new look to him his eyes seem brighter and his normal mischievous smile is replaced with a real one that looks filled with hope "Is Saihara chan gonna stare at me all night or actually take me somewhere" The smaller teases "Gah! s-sorry" I lead him to the car and get in "I-I thought I-I'd take you t-to the arcade s-since I k-know you like vi-video games" I turn away a little hoping he can't see my blush "Aweeee neheehee~ how thoughtful" once we get to the arcade I take out some money "I-I wanted to t-to pay for you-your games" I put the money in the machine as the tokens spill out "C-Can I-I try win s-something for you" I hear Kokichi laugh as embarrassment fills me did I say something wrong "Shuichi you get flustered so easy I'd love for you to win me something" I take his hand and walk over to the claw machines "You know these things are rigged" the smaller questions I smirk and put in my coins

I silently cheer as the claw picks up a monokuma plushie and drops it through the slot "Wow Saihara chan really is a nerd! but thats just a lie...or is it neheehee~" Ouma winks at me and runs off to the other machines

*Time skip because writings hard*

I hear my little liar yawn I figure I should probably wrap things up we just finished eating anyway "Hey Shuichi let me take you somewhere"
"Aren't you tired?" I question feeling a bit flustered "Yes but I want to take you somewhere" I finally give in and get back in the car with him driving this time I play on my phone trying to distract myself from curiosity "We're here" I look up and can't help but giggle "I know you like your reading so I thought a library would be the best way to end the night" I would argue since I know Kokichi hates reading but I won't win even if I tried I take his hand and walk in before going to a quiet corner and begin to pick out some crime novels I sit down with Kokichi next to me as I try not to blush as he looks over my shoulder reading along side me after a while I feel a sudden weight on me I look down to see Kokichi asleep peacefully he shivers a little and I panic I don't want him to wake up he clearly needs his rest, I slowly take my jacket off and drape it around him

After a hour or so I reluctantly pop my book back and pick him up gently rubbing his hair and shushing him I put him in the car before buckling him up and getting in there myself. I would take him back to his house but that means I'd have to wake him and what if his familys asleep I figure I'll take him back to mine. Once we get through the door I take him to my room before placing him gently on my bed just as I go to leave I hear a quiet murmur "Where are you going Saihara?" I turn back and hold his hand "I was gonna go sleep on the couch bec-"
"Why not in your bed I may be evil but I won't bite my beloved Saihara"
"N-No I-I didn't t-think that I j-just th-thought-" I'm cut off my Kokichi attaching his lips to mine I feel my heart racing as my world seems to explode in that moment I pull away dumbfounded before getting into my pajamas and joining Kokichi
"I-I think I love you, Kokichi"
"I know I love you, Shuichi"
