3rd person:
Shuichi was very well known for being one of the biggest douches in his school, though the term was outdated it suit him perfectly, him and his girlfriend Kaede reigned over their school "The perfect nuclear couple" though whilst no one had a problem with the fact they were one of the only straight couples, they did have a problem that this couple carried the homophobia of an entire bloodline, on top of that they were very 'physical' with their opinions, though this didn't pay off, Shuichi and Kaede were excluded from the year Shuichi basically only had himself, Kaede and his best friend Kokichi left and Kaede vice versa even her own best friend Miu though being straight herself couldn't support her actions anymore. Though being excluded from all social groups, Rantaro the most loving person in this school, everyone knew his name, he refused to not see the good in people and even though this brough many awkward situations no one could bring themselves to be mad at him, this is how the predicament started: Kaede, Kokichi and Shuichi were all currently at a party which had ALL types of groups involved in it. Of course to no ones surprised the pristine controllers kept to themselves for the majority of the party, at some point after a few drinks, the overwhelming majority of group decided that karaoke was the way to go. The group put in their songs and Kokichi and Shuichi decided on "tough to be a god' though it didn't matter what song they chose as they'd be going last. The first two up were K1-BO and Rantaro as a duet singing The king by Conan gray ( https.//youtu.be/BqlV7oQhvmw ) Shuichi sat and listened to their singing he found himself getting lost in the lyrics a little too lost, which hit a just too close to home, this sparked something inside Shuichi as he stormed out the house out back to go have a fag

Kokichis and third pov:
Kokichi notices this spark in Shuichi and manages to shake Kaede off and convince her to stay with the group, he only manages this through a lie of telling him Shuichi's in the bathroom, Kokichi tried to guide himself through the crowd out to the back gardens, luckily his height was a privilege in this situation as he managed to make it out back by ducking under people.

He walked to the end of the garden where Shuichi had secluded himself from the rest of the group. "Hey Shu" Kokichi slid himself down the back fence, sitting himself next to Shuichi just embracing the cold air and Christmas lights, before he could process anything, Shuichis chest was pressed to his as well as his lips, he couldn't pull away, how would things be after this, how could they go back to normal, Kokichi had sworn he was homophobic in the first place but now he had seen that it was internalized homophobia these signals actually made a lot more sense.
I found myself with nothing else to do but wrap my arms around his waist, I budged him into my lap and kept a soft grip on him until over time our lips slowly parted, the silence was deafening I could almost hear both of our pulses. I finally broke the silence by handed him a lighter for his fag, I saw a smile creep onto his face and a small 'thank you' slip from his lips as I lit my own, I found our fingers laced in each other. The silence became less threating and more welcoming, the comfortable silence keep us warm in the harsh winter night. "What are you going to going to tell Kaede?"

I shrug my shoulders not really having any grounds to argue with him on. I don't want to admit it but my heart beats out of my chest slightly, the idea of no longer having the competition of Kaede, not having the fear of never being able to tell him how I felt. I see him send the text and I gently plant a kiss on his head. He'll act all tough and brag but I know this is scary for him.
