I found the following comments on the Bounding Into Comics article "Rumor: Netflix Axes She-Ra and the Princess of Power.

Emma Pirelli: I'm not going to dance on its grave because bad She-Ra is better than none at all, but I can say this reboot was not for me.
GoldDog; You're a positive person, I get that, but most people would prefer no sushi at all, than sushi that takes like feet.
PurpleCar: Disagree. IF you don't like the sushi, that doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. There are plenty of others that would love it, and it's not like MOTU is a very lucrative franchise.
Christoper Brady: Bad sushi makes you sick. Bad She-Ra, means tarnished show that no one wants, and will not make anymore of. You do not want bad She-Ra. Because then you WILL have NO She-Ra.
Cyan Teepee: What a ridiculous analogy. If we must stick with food, this entire universe is a buffet. Eat what you want and stop putting your hands in other people's plates to take away from them what it is you don't like.

Honestly, it's the defenders of this show which really need to brush up on how to use analogies and not those detracting.

Bad tasting food is bad tasting food, but the fact there is somebody who would in fact eat said food despite tasting bad doesn't mean the bad food is suddenly good. It means that person has bad taste, so effectively they've painted everyone who likes the show as having no taste, which I honestly don't think is true. I think some ended up queer baited into the show, while others – I'd like to say I don't get why people would like this, but I loved Entrapta. I'm rather glad I didn't continue watching though because the show is leaning towards pairing her with a woobified version of the big bad.

As for the last comment, the comment regarding putting one's hands in other people's plates is just as uncalled for as the comments claiming that it's men who hate on the new show when – as the person from Clownfish points out – most of those I see complaining are women. Seriously, this is not the She-Ra from my childhood and is far from the empowering female character I grew up with, but I found some really negative messages in just the first season.

- If you're an LGBT princess your character arc isn't as important as the other princesses.

- It's okay for kids to throw tantrums and bash their parents despite the fact their parents are honestly worried about their real-life safety.

- Body positivity means ignoring anybody who isn't flat chested because they're not real women.

- Women lack in the intelligence department, so they need to surround themselves with really dumb men.

- Women can't be strong without help. They need the power of friendship and their support groups otherwise they can't get things done because women can't do things as an individual on their own.

- It's okay to bash the nerdy kids and butch females because every butch female is a bad guy, but so are the nerds, so let's not let them into the in crowd like the LGBT and overweight people even though said LGBT character one of which is our overweight character doesn't play any role even after the later seasons.

No, if they want to compare the universe to a buffet, the new She-Ra: The Princesses of Power is comparable to the food everyone at the buffet tries once, but only a select few come back for. Thus the buffet decides to cut the cost because the food isn't good enough to sell well.

At least they didn't pull the "don't like, don't eat card", but that's another thing the whole buffet comment goes into. They're trying to say, "if you don't like this particular dish, don't eat it and don't try taking it from another person's plate", but what they miss is that each dish is a specific type of food and you're still excluding those who actually like that particular food simply because the food is poorly made, but telling them they need to put up and shut up because they should simply glad they have any of that type of food.

No, seriously. I still remember the comment someone made about how complaining about how badly done She-Ra is – that's why we females can't have good shows. I'd recommend Spirit Riding over this, and that show has some serious errors regarding horses and horse riding I'm not fond of. I'm tired of being told I'm not to have shows aimed at me which are like the shows aimed at the guys.

Actually, this is just like the logic that the target audience for Shounen is aimed at boys and thus romance is not a part of the genre. Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha are just some examples of Shounen with romance aspects, but these very shows made me question the fact we've labeled Romance as for girls and everything else for boys.

It's the above mentality we're trying to fight against – telling girls their choices are limited because they are female, yet they should just put up and shut up because they're lucky to have anything at all.
