Who is Elainna Grayson?

She's the daughter of Dick Grayson, but is considered Batwoman Beyon, which is in itself interesting given the fact fans of Barbara Gordon complain about how she never gets to take on the mantle of Batwoman. There's honestly a good reason for this – her character has some honest issues, but one can definitely say based on Batman Beyond that her relationship with Dick is not the flagship pairing people think it should be.

Yes, I'll argue Elainna Grayson is a far better candidate, yet I can't help but think she's yet another character who manages to outshine Terry McGinnis. This isn't, mind you, because she's a Mary Sue – her abilities are all actually explained, given her background as being a part of the Flying Grayson family line and who her father is, not to mention Batman Beyond emphasizes Dick is indeed the most technically inclined of the bat family, not the ones fans think.

No, the problem is Terry's character tends to have this happen to him, that another character jumps in and takes over the narrative.

Ironically, given my alternative background storyline for Terry, her mother is most likely Huntress, I think. Yeah, she's not currently "Helena Wayne" in this, yet there is a chance she is, particularly with the time gap and the fact Bruce was starting to get together with Selena at one point, much to the irritation of – oh, Damien. She could have time traveled, pretending to be a Bertinelli, or she could have been adopted into the Bertinelli hosehold. Chances are, she's also going to become a romantic interest for Terry McGinnis.

Though, to be honest, with me liking family connections and all, I so prefer the idea she is actually Terry's twin sister, which would put a majorly different spin on what happened to Dick Grayson than what I've had going for my Beyond the Night series – a divorce or separation early on, possibly because a certain someone – Huntress – couldn't stop vigilante life

Oh, but Mary's hair is red. Considering the theory she died her hair, but there's also the issue she's later drawn in the comics with a dark red hair color, or an auburn color. She's also, strangely enough, dead in this universe, yet there's pretty much squat regarding what happened to her. I mean, it takes a bit of digging to even find out she supposedly died.

The problem is, we don't know much about Ellaina beyond the fact she's definitely her father's child, so I'm not likely to bring her into what I write, at least not yet, though I'll also say she's my favorite "canon" kid for him, though I love Terry and Matt in my personal headcanon.
