One argument I've seen proposed by fans is that going through that many kings in ten years does in fact happen during tremulous times. Or is it? While I've seen kings with less than a reign of ten years in history I've not seen very many times where the reign of two kings is this short let alone three. In other words it is actually a rarity.
Making matters worse, we're actually not talking about a ten year time period. Said character has been king for at least five years as that is when the attempt at mass genocide occurred further conflating the problem. In fact, Charioce is noted as being between twenty-one to twenty-four years of age and became king at age fifteen to seventeen, yet a plan of attacking the other races is something which takes time and planning.
