it's our second day back from hawaii. which was a super fun trip. i got sick the day we left so i've just been laying around and editing since we got home.
my phone started buzzing and i had assumed it was elena facetiming me since she had a sonogram today.
"incoming call: daddio 💛"
i squinted at my phone screen, confused because my dad would normally text me and ask if he could call me.
i accepted the call
"hey addi. howre you?" he asked me
"hi dad. i've been a little sick but pretty good. howre you?" i asked back
"well i've been better... your aunt is in the hospital. she's not doing well." he said.
"what do you mean she's not doing well?" i said as tears sparked in my eyes.
"her most recent round of chemo isn't doing her too well. i'm at the hospital with eleanor and ellieana. ashton, nick and maci are here as well." he said
"how bad is it? should i fly out?" i asked
"you know, normally i would say no but in this case i'm gonna say yes." his answer broke my heart a little.
i had some great memories with my aunt lily. she would always take me out for girly days and we would have sleepovers. she is one of the sweetest people i know.
