I rode with my dad this morning to school. 1sr hr, we did a video analysis. 2nd hr, I was trying to talk to Danny Boi , but he was being lame, so 3rd hr was boring too. Lunch, I sat with my brother. He was telling me how the other day, after drama, he saw Ian in the bathroom, and Ian hurried up, washed his hands, and ran! I was laughing so hard. 4th hr, Reed had us take the chairs on stage. We sat in a circle and talked about things we struggle with. I talked about how I'm socially awkward, that I don't like talking to new people, so it's hard making friends. Harrison and I ended up having a heart to heart. He apologized for being mean to me in the past. He said he's just a sucky person, and gave me a hug. He talked about his ADHD and how he takes a lot of his frustration out on his parents. For my new 5th hr, health, we went to the computer lab for a web quest. 6th hr, I took a test, and I think I did good.
Gretchen picked me up from school. We waited at the bus garage for my dad, and then I went to the church super early. I ate five pieces of pizza. Kas, juju, and I were not happy about getting put on the 15 passenger van, but it wasn't that bad.
We talked to Tim on the way there, and juju and Kas we're making fun of me for calling the middle seat, behind the passenger seat, the tv riding view. When we got there, Tim was checking us in, and Ethan comes up behind the worker Tim was talking to, and she was frightened,
"Oh! You're a tall human!!" Now we call Ethan tall human.
We unloaded and put our stuff in our cabins. Kas, juju, and, I went to the game room because there wasn't much to do. There was this kid in the game room, Kameron, who didn't have friends, so juju and Kas adopted him. I beat them all at foosball. We taught Kameron to make this really loud "REEE" sound.
So, session was good. The speaker was really goofy. Small groups were also good. Sarah gave us all daisies. We all ripped the petals off saying "Jesus loves me," to each petal.
I sat with Liv on her bunk talking about how I'm worried about Daniel. He's been really quiet lately, and I hate to see him push people who care about him, away. I did that last summer, and it sucked. I lost a lot of great people.
We had to get up early for broom ball. Juju, Kas, and I didn't want to play, so we stood on the little deck. There was a kid who was kinda by himself. He said his name was Jim. He put on the hot chocolate song from The Polar Express on his phone, turned it all the way up, played it on repeat, and went to sit behind the trash can.
We then went to the early morning show. They made commercials. They made a "Brad, you loved brad" commercial, but brad was a plate, not a car.
We were gonna go zip lining, but thought it was pointless to wait in line for a 30 second ride. So, instead, we went tubing down this giant hill, and it was super fun! There was a magic carpet that took you up the hill, but it gave me AnXiEtY. You had to stand completely still, or it'll break, the workers said. You could feel on your feet when the magic carpet went over a bump. The magic carpet completely stopped, and I fell forward.
Kas, juju, and I went swimming. The dressing rooms had this grate floor, and it hurt ur feet so bad when you walked. These boys were playing with a ball, and it kept landing toward us, so I kept trying to hit them in the face with the ball.
After that, we went back to the game room to hang out. We played foosball and air hockey. Some boys wanted to play against juju and I in foosball, and we lost. I lost to Andrew and Tim too. I beat Kas at air hockey.
We forgot dinner was a thing. We went to the cafeteria and there was this dude just sleeping on the table. I went to talk to him to see if he was alright. He was very grumpy.
We went to main session. Juju has been fangirling over The Birdsongs all weekend.
Juju and I went to open mic in the game room. There was this one dude that made me really happy. He didn't sing very well, but he sang his heart out anyway, not caring what others thought. This kid from the school, Parker, sang the apple bees birthday song. We now call him birthday boy. I thought this kid winked at me, and asked what my name was, but he just wanted in the cabinet juju and I were standing in front of. Kas did super good! So proud of her. A girl wanted me to hold her phone up to the microphone for her while she sang. I really didn't want to, so good thing her friend stepped up. Jaden played Africa by Toto on the keyboard, and The Birdsongs sang with him. It was awesome.
Juju and I were really tired, so we headed to the cabin. We got comfy clothes on, and sat in the cabin talking. Kadence came by us to talk with us. We were talking about me being a nun in the future and "wankers."
No one decided to wake me up. Juju eventually did. Ha, I got to sleep in more. Our team kept winning broom ball, so we had to get up early and support our team. We eventually went and ate breakfast. I ate scrambled eggs and a bagel.
Had our last session and small groups, and I tried not to fall asleep. I was so tired.
We had lunch before we left. Chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, corn, and cookies. Then, we packed up and left.
