At last, the most awaited wedding of the century has finally begun. Foods and decorations can never be second best. Prominent guests and outstanding names from the business industry were invited. Of course, it had to be grand. It is the union of the two most powerful business tycoons in the country. The Kims and the Manobans.
The Power Couple, as what have the masses dubbed them now owns 40% of the country, damn. Not to mention they are both pretty and hot, hot-headed towards each other that arguing is their only form of communication.
But today, they've agreed to be decent for the ceremony's success and for the cameras too. Have I mentioned they're both girls? The country doesn't give a shit as long as people don't harm each other intentionally. Mine can't relate... Oops..
Fake smiles everywhere, it's hard to distinguish the genuine ones. It's pure business after all. The only people who are genuinely happy about the union were the parents of course; they have successfully secured their properties and monopolized some of their business units. A brilliant and peaceful partnership the heiresses have agreed wholeheartedly.
Like other cliché Wattpad stories, they are not lovers. They are just conveniently the last line of successors for both companies. Don't worry about reproducing another lines of successor, it's not in the least bit of concern.
The wedding was intended for the sole purpose of training the Manoban's happy-go lucky heiress, Lisa, to handle their empire, with the help of the hardworking Kim's heiress, Jennie. And when Lisa can finally stand on her own, divorce will come through. The Kims will retain their properties, take 30% from the Manobans and will have the last word for the assets they've gained from the partnership.
All of it was proposed by Lisa's father, whose health was deteriorating, as a promise to forfeit the tight competition and forever be good terms with the Kims. Which, is very beneficial for the latter.
The Kims are known for playing fair. It may sound absurd especially in the industry they established their name for, but they made it possible.
They managed everything in good faith - the total opposite for the Manobans. They're just planting Lisa for the destruction of The Kims. Bwaha-wait.
Did I just expose the plot twist?
Ah. Shit. My Bad.
Just pretend you're shocked when you've reached Chapter 12.
Let's just go back to the wedding.
Oop. It ended.
Seems like I've said too much.
--------------------
The honeymoon went well. Only because they minded their own business in their private island. A gift from the cunning Manobans.
Jennie is minding the business; Lisa is minding her own instagrammable shit. And they've agreed not to pester each other as a wedding gift for each other. How sweet.
Living together, under one roof - a wedding gift from the thoughtful Kims - is a whole-ass different story.
It is a test they have to go through each and every day of their married life knowing their compatibility is a total chaos.
"What are you doing here?! Do you even think I'd let you sleep beside me?!" Lisa exaggerated, covering her body.
She knew Jennie had a history with an unnamed girl, as what her father have told her. It is just a gossip, but it definitely plays a significant role for the evil plan.
"I'm afraid you are not my type. I'll sleep in my office, stop with the tantrum." Jennie replied as her usual self, calm, nonchalant, meant no harm, just politely brutally honest.
"What did you say?" Butt-hurt Lisa stopped Jennie right before she leaves the master's bedroom.
"Stop with the tantrum." No emotions.
"No! No! The first one!"
"You are not my type?" Tentatively, flatly.
"Ha! You're just saying that to piss me off, right?"
"I wanted to say I have no type, but if I have, it would defintely be not you."
Lisa contorted her face, thinking of a counter attack. But luckily, Jennie spoke again, because she didn't come up with any.
"I'll be working now, we're early tomorrow. Let me remind you, no one's going to wake you up princess. Sleep well." Jennie casually stated and waited patiently for Lisa to remove herself out of the way.
"What did you say?" Assuming Lisa flirted, just because.
"I don't have the time to repeat every single thing I'm saying to you. Do I also have to teach you how to use your brain?" Done Jennie's bitch-face now on, temper's threatening to erupt.
"What did you sa-." Lisa stopped when she realized, but too late.
Jennie retained her composure with a little smirk. Another home-run, winning again an argument Lisa have started, as always.
With that, she walked out of the room leaving an enraged Lisa, who's now planning for a revenge that would always bite her at the bitter end.
And this is only just the beginning.
To be continued....
