"Why? I thought she's smart?" Surprised Lisa put her utensils down.
"I don't know what that girl fed her to even think of ruining the company just like that. You know, she did home-school and all for the sole purpose of running the company then just for a girl...ahhrggh... She knew that, I told her she's dumb." Imagine how Jisoo's face did break-dance out of frustration.
Lisa really wanted to ask the details but she knew it's too sensitive. To think that someone like President Jennie Kim would do that. That girl must really be something.
"Maybe she really just loved her." She concluded then continued eating.
"What love? Maybe that girl seduced my cousin just like she did with uncle..." Jisoo ended the sentence with an abrupt pout, hoping it stopped what she did reveal. Well, too late.
She just did expose another plot twist.
Perplexed Lisa was lost for words, hearing the controversies of her in-laws from one of them.
"Ahmm. It's confidential..." Jisoo started then leaked every facts she knew and her unsolicited theories until office hours were done.
-------------------
Lisa went home exhausted from too much information and guilt. She said and did a lot of things to Jennie that she wished she did not if she only knew what she had been through.
She knew Jennie was already there so she chatted with their maids as to what food she likes because they knew her since she was a child. Yes she had been a child. She had always been a quiet child and submissive to her parents. She just deal with everything they'll give her. So, nobody knows what she really wants.
Damn it's hard, so Lisa just came up with another way to apologize. But she must not mention about the mistress of her father who became her ex-girlfriend. Oops.
She knocked against the office door and it was not locked so she slowly ease herself in. And she found her wife leaning her back on the swivel chair luxuriously, eyes closed. She looked around and there's no bed, and she said she's sleeping there. Another guilt was added to cart.
But there are so many rooms here. It's not her fault she's sleeping in the office, her demon butted.
She walked towards her wife and carefully searched for traces of being awake.
"What do you need?" Jennie suddenly asked opening her eyes slowly, making Lisa's heart jump in shock.
"Why are you sleeping here? What are all of these spare rooms for then? Attracting ghosts?"
"I'm not. I am thinking."
"About what?"
"Demanding clients."
"You should rest, what happens in the office stays in the office."
Jennie snickered which Lisa found offensive. Is she mocking Lisa's concern for her?
"Is that your way of apologizing for how you treated Jisoo earlier?"
"What?! I will never apologize for that. It's not my fault I didn't know she's your cousin."
"So, what exactly brings you here?"
"I'm bored." Lisa dead-panned. Her pride was at stake so saying it is not an option.
Jennie pretended to think then looked at Lisa intently.
"Then, how may I help you?" This is the response Lisa wanted, not this polite, but it sure will do.
"Come with me."
"I have important things to do."
"I know. Just come with me, and I won't bother you anymore." Lisa used her charming big smile to persuade Jennie. "Please."
"Why don't you call one of your friends?" Jennie replied still not convinced.
"I have no friends here. They're all in abroad." Lisa replied suddenly became gloomy. And Jennie was looking at her wife, wondering if she's just acting.
"What? It's true. I spent more years in abroad than here. Ok! I'm escaping my responsibility. What more do you want?"
Jennie looked at her carefully and weighed her thoughts.
"I'll change first and prepare the guards."
"What?! Where's the fun in that?! No guards." Lisa protested crossing her arms.
Jennie inhaled for the next protest but Lisa countered it right away.
"No more excuses. Give yourself a break."

After a breath-stopping sneaking out and a lot of role playing, they've made it out alive and now in the car wondering if they would still live after.
"Do you really know where we're going?" Jennie looked at the smiley driving Lisa full of distrust.
"I know. I just don't know how to." And she's still smiling at that fact.
"Why did I ever trust my life to you?" Agitated Jennie looked around for clues but they're actually not in a road, they're driving in a forest.
"Why Jennie Kim? Are you afraid I'll eat you here alive?" Lisa playfully act as if she's a beast threatening to devour Jennie.
"I believe we would die in a car crash first before you could eat me alive. Eyes on the road please." Jennie politely rolled her eyes at Lisa that only made the latter want to tease her more.
And they forgot their cellphones. Jennie no escape.
"How could we get there if you don't know how to?"
"I know the place by heart. I got lost. And that's how I found it."
Jennie just shut her mouth for no matter what she argued, Lisa would just counter it with a hopeful answer.
Somehow it made her want to trust her. And also, she had no choice. To be continued...
