It's been hell of a week for the Kims, and that includes Director Jisoo Kim.
She really involved herself for the betterment of the deal. No. Not only because of her extreme hatred and distrust towards Chaeyoung Park. She's also genuinely devoted in contributing her all. Even though she knew this deal's success would mean the end of the deal.
Jisoo saw it coming and her cousin confirmed it in an irrevocable resolution. And bitch, did her heart jump, backflip, headspin and shits with joy for she had learned her cousin-in-law is finally in love with her legit cousin. Damn, she's witnessing her favorite romcoms come to life.
Of course, no amount of workload could ever stop Jisoo and Lisa from chattering, be it their personal lives or other people's. Perks from mastering multi-tasking.
And the Director is not mentoring the Vice President anymore, instead, they're working together for contingency plans, looking out for loopholes and probable setbacks for project's stability.
Yes, they're now claiming it as a project with the trajectory spanning larger than life.
They're taking to account the success that will last for years, and more than a lifetime partnership for both companies.
A combination of idealism and realism. Not just blind optimism.
Though it can't help but slip by how vast the Director and the Vice President's vision altogether. And that's why they have the President to sift out ambiguities.
The President who never left her Vice President's side, even at the background. Overseeing her, monitoring every step. No. She's not doing anything for her comfort in the business world. She's just there, ready to catch her whenever she falls.
Everyday. They're making each other fall deep, sinking to the abyss, reaching the unknown.
Or, they're already there?
Only the Director Captain Jisoo knows.
She's watching the two with the precision of a hawk's eye and the intensity of a tiger's eye. No shit can slip.
The smiles, the glances, the efforts they didn't even know they're doing for each other confirmed Jisoo's hypotheses.
Lisa being yo unassuming girl, was focused on how she could express her love without taking uncalculated risk, too afraid to cross the imaginary boundaries. And Jennie being oblivious to the love in front of her, distracted with setting her own love free, believing it would make her happy.
Torn between these blurred lines, Jisoo knew learning these shits would be rendered useless as long as her cousins don't acknowledge it themselves.
And it's not included in her job description to pull their shits together. So it left her with no choice but to watch their innocent interactions painfully and be thrilled with the little progressions she's seeing; letting things fall in their place at their own pace, at their own time.
But until when she can hold her peace?
Chaeyoung Park.
She knew the time is running out for her. But she planned this too well to be reckless. And she's relying to the cards up her sleeve.
She won't give up now and she never did give up before. It's just fate was being a bitch, forcing her to ride the tides alone, leaving her love behind, and wait on smoother waves for them to finally sail together.
And now is that time.
After the greetings and shit, she was seated beside her beloved.
Seducing her with intelligence and grace, she knew very well the President's kryptonite. Not to mention the location is at her advantage, the conference room.
Nostalgic memories had resurfaced that it felt like the years behind were just a day. To both of them.
The lingering touches, from the seductress of course, the meaningful stares, the smiles directed to each other, stirred up the thick atmosphere in the room, for those who knew the history of their controversial love.
Most from the host empire knew, and that includes yo no fool girl Lisa.
Bitch, she knew what Chaeyoung was doing to her wife. But knowing her wife well, she confidently went on with what was expected of her.
Be the respectable representative of the empire and close the fucking deal with the effectiveness of a 99.9% germ killer. Done.
She trusted Jennie so much, that even when the bitch whispered something to her wife's ear earning the former a gummy smile, she would not flare up and bring hell to the conference room.
But there's a limit to everything.
And hell is about to get ready.
To be continued...
