The Deal (Jenlisa x Chaennie Fanfic)

XXIX- Always

"Runaway with me."

Bambam played Romeo once more, staring right through Lisa's eyes with his desperate ones.

"What did you say? Are you serious?!"

Lisa obviously heard it and she knew her everything was being dead serious at the moment.

And she wished not.

She dejectedly informed her wife about the mood sucker text then after office hours, she met with her boyfriend at some top of a roadside cliff having a great view of the city.

You know, like in romantic movie scenes where lovers make or break their relationships? Yup, they met there, with Lisa's driver and bodyguards at the background to make Jennie sure her wife would go home, and safe.

"We've always been so sure of running away together since we were young...remember?" Tears were threatening to fall as he tried to repress fragility in his voice.

Lisa saw it and tried her hardest not to let her own tears fall as she reached for her lover's hands.

"Bam, we're not young anymore. I have to face responsibilities now and you know that." Lisa explained, searching for something in his eyes that would remove all her uncertainty, something she saw in Jennie's eyes.

And with that, tears started falling from her own but her everything cupped her face and wiped those tears away.

"I understand, I must be patient. I must be strong. But Lisa the longer I wait the farther you become! And I won't wait for that day when I can't reach you anymore...Lisa,..Come with me."

Fear and hopelessness were evident in Bambam's eyes that grew more and more with the delay of Lisa's response as Lisa was startled, can't even think of anything to say.

"I-I can't..The deal. I-I have to finish the deal." She finally stammered, convincing only herself.

A single tear escaped his eyes. He's holding a lot of them as long as he could but Lisa's lie was more than he can bear.

He then wiped his tears feebly, detaching himself from Lisa's grasp.

"You're more than money can buy Lisa. Tell me. What is it that you can't leave behind?" Tears shamelessly fell blurring his vision but he could only care less.

"You do love her, don't you?"

Lisa was unable to utter a single word but the tears falling relentlessly from her eyes confirmed it, without her knowledge.

He already knew and he never stopped praying she would at least deny it when this moment comes but truth in front of him broke the shattered pieces of his heart more.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry.. It-it's all my fault.. I should have listened to you.. I'm reckless, stupid.. I'm proud..I was too confident that everything would be alright at the end of this deal. But I didn't know it would feel this right. Too right, I can't regret everything. I'm so sorry..I love her.. I'm in love with her. I'm sorry....."

Lisa continued saying sorry to infinity and beyond, crouching, palms on her face, violently shaking as she sobbed her heart out.

Bambam's heart had no piece left to break but there's still a part of him that ached seeing Lisa this way. He then helped her stood up, hugged her tight as if it's their last.

After the never-ending sobs from both sides,

"Shhh..That can't be helped... Your happiness is all I hope for. I will always love you Lisa. Always." He patted his first love's back, fixing its now disheveled hair.

As much as he wanted to fight for the only love of his life, he wanted Lisa to live with no regrets. Regrets from not doing something that would make her happy just because of the pressure, just because something held her back. He never wanted to hold Lisa back. He believed Lisa deserved happiness even if it's not with him anymore. He knew he can't force it, wounds would only deepen if he tried.

Funny, it may seem, but he trusts Jennie for Lisa's heart.

The two parted ways leaving a piece of them with each other, holding it dear to their hearts. It would never be easy losing someone you've only imagined your future with. But knowing they had not completely lose each other made both of them walk different paths, yes still with a heavy heart, but not too heavy not to move forward.

And if it so happened fate made their paths cross together someday, they could greet each other with a smile and say they never regret that they happened, they met each other.
