Now that the legit couple had broken up, this shit would finally have two chapters left. Char.
Lisa went home with a dull pain in her chest, feeling it all, though she's already spent from all the crying and sobbing she did. Just replaying the scenes made her want to tear up again.
She just lost her everything.
But when she remembered what she had just confessed, boy did her problems escalated from 100-1000 real quick. Aside from the fact that she was still broken-hearted, Jennie Kim. Yes. That's the problem.
Jennie Kim is as clear as fog to read making it hard for Lisa to figure out whether she at least liked her back or she's just being her nice, polite self. Also, the ex-girlfriend her wife had once almost destroyed her empire for is now breathing again, deliberately trying to get her back.
She pondered, running away with Bambam is easier than facing all these problems that surfaced from her, acknowledging her love for her wife. But before facing these problems, she wants to see her wife's face first.
Dinner time was over and she knew taking a rest for Jennie Kim means working in her office at home, of course, when Lisa's not around for she's her wife's legal botherer.
After changing clothes and fixing herself to look like she didn't cry her whole-being out earlier, she then knocked at her wife's office door that has never been locked for fanfic purposes.
She put on a big smile first before easing herself in, heart melting at the sight of her serious, hard working, gorgeous, breath-taking, heart-stopping, mouth-waterin-what? wife.
"Have you eaten yet?" Jennie inquired knowing who's the intruder without looking up, her eyes not leaving the proposal she kept on rereading the title page since forever.
And it's because her brain prioritized the making of possible scenarios her wife and Romeo could have played out. All displeasing.
"I have." Lisa lied, for she didn't want her wife to worry and she's not yet ready to talk about what happened, or if she wanted to tell her. Afraid she might ruin the blurred, uncertain, unknown.
"Glad to hear. What can I do for you then?" With a diplomatic tone, Jennie pretended not to crumble, feeling the intensity of her wife's gaze, still not looking up but finally flipping a page.
"I just want to ask if you'd like to get lost with me and be your driver for tonight?" Lisa asked copying the business like tone earning Jennie snicker.
At last, Jennie turned her gaze to her wife, gummy smile making its way to greet Lisa's big one. Sure, there's still that undying charm in her smile but Jennie, being familiar enough with those eyes, immediately understood the sorrow they bear.
Missing someone is always a moment too long, Jennie thought.
She was supposed to be busy. She have a lot of proposals to study and a lot of paperwork filing up even at her home desk indeed, but she won't take a look at it without fixing her wife's face first with the only way she knew how.
"Are you politely asking me for a date? Hon."
She couldn't stop the smirk no matter how ill timed her 'flirting should have been bantering' was because the result was more than she wanted.
"You wish!" Crimson crept on Lisa's cheeks, but she then smiled broader pretending her heart was not racing faster than a bullet train.
"But if it means you'd be coming with me, then date it is. Hon."
They're both smiling hard lighting up the well lit room more, like it's daytime; forgetting all the worries they had the moment they took in each other's eyes.
--------------------------
"I thought you had a plan. You should have told me about this a day before so I could at least make us one. Sparing ourselves from wasting a lot of time and energy." Jennie spatted so done, arms folded across her chest beside her giddy, driving wife.
With windows down, Lisa decided to explore the city nooks only to be literally lost, unable to find any traces of the main road.
"Excuse me, what plan? I clearly asked you to get lost with me, didn't I? And may I remind you, no one had forced you to come with me. Meaning you waivered your golden time and your precious energy in these very palm of my hands!" Lisa waved her huge palms in the air then laughed like a maniac, a deadly combination of adrenaline rush and an empty stomach.
"I should have known." Jennie just rested her bitch face, expecting to meet and greet Grim Ripper anytime soon.
"Just look around, you know. It's not always about where we go, sometimes it's all about the ride....And the one you're with." She mumbled the last sentence but Jennie caught it and blushed rolling her eyes as iiiiff.
If only Jennie didn't know Lisa was just making up for her reckless driving skills, she would finally have an idea her wife was hitting on her since the beginning of their joyride.
Lisa can't control her feelings. As much as she doesn't want to blow her cover up, oh she didn't! She just made it look like she's roasting her wife instead of showering her with compliments. Unintentionally.
She can't control but she doesn't know how to express it properly. After all, it's Jennie Kim, please consider the struggle.
Jennie then looked around hiding her smile from her impulsive wife, feeling the midnight breeze with the warmth of city lights grazing her face. But still can't appreciate the theatrical view of the city.
"Stop the car." Jennie blurted out.
"What?!"
"I said stop the car. Driving is of no use if we keep on going back in the same place."
"Stop? And how can we find our way out if we won't keep on driving?"
"There must be an establishment around here. I'm starving, I can't think straight."
Jennie didn't have her dinner because she was waiting for Lisa to come home so Lisa would have someone to join her. But Lisa lied, and now, they're both starving.
To be continued.....
