"-AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Jisoo with her signature intense laughing streak, burst out before even saying what in the hell she finds funny in the middle of a peaceful restaurant full of elegant people.

Her nonchalant cousin was just busy studying the chemical compounds of her expensive plate, giving no shit at her lunch date for the day and probably for tomorrow too.

"What the face Jendeuk?! Damn, I pray for humor to come visit you once, you're a total opposite of your wife!" Disappointed Jisoo pointed her fork at the sad reacts only Jennie.

She then studied her cousin, narrowed her eyes at her, and put two and two together.

"Where's my favorite cousin-in-law exactly? And I won't take the crap that she's on leave, I already know that." Demanding Jisoo asked for an expanded truth.

"She's with her boyfriend until tomorrow."

That's it, Jisoo smiled broadly, not because of what she have heard but because of her delusional belief that it's the reason Jendeuk is not her usual self. With that, she decided to rub more salt at her cousin's imaginary wounds.

"You know where?"

"I believe it's not necessary to know." Jennie answered still had no plans to look at her probing cousin, afraid she might notice how uneasy she was with the follow-up questions.

Jisoo was intently watching her suffering cousin, sipping her water carefully like it's some kind of a hot beverage with a smirk creeping on her pretty face.

"And you let it happen? How will you explain that to your fathers?"

"I've already told them, and she needed that break. I'm afraid she'll burn out from too much pressure."

"A break with her boyfriend huh?" Jisoo maliciously commented still watching her cousin's expressions.

The pressure thing was very questionable to Jisoo because she had never heard Lisa complaining. From the mentor's point of view, Lisa was enjoying learning new things and even innovative at it. The break doesn't make sense but she let it slide.

"She needs him." Jennie mumbled but the keen observant Jisoo caught and once again, smirked mischievously.

"Don't miss her too much Jendeuk. Lisa sure will be happy and recharged when she comes back. Who knows what they'll be doing tonight knowing your wife-"

"Stop it! And since when it became your business to mind what people do in their bedrooms?" Jennie spatted venomously at the startled at first Jisoo, but now laughing as if there's no tomorrow. If she's not wearing a well-tailored tuxedo, she might roll on the floor religiously.

Annoyed as fuck, Jennie Kim made an attempt of standing up, to walk away and pretend she's not acquainted with this lunatic but Jisoo held her wrist.

"G*d Jennie Kim! Damn you and your dirty mind!"

Wait, Jisoo was still laughing.........

"As I was saying-" Again burst out laughing, Jennie was so done.

"Jisoo let go. I'm going now." Jennie with dead seriousness stated forcing Jisoo to get hold of her shits.

"Ok I'm sorry Jendeuk." Jisoo took a deep breath, swallowing an accumulating streak of laughter, cleared her throat, then personified the honorable Director that she is.

"I think we both knew how Lisa drools for starry night sky Jendeukie. So tell me, who's minding other people's bedroom rendezvous now?"

Jennie suddenly turned into a mushy squishy defeated baby knowing her cousin will hold this against her until forever.

Meanwhile, while the legit couple were driving to no one knows where Jennie pretended not to care,

"Aren't you feeling well babe? We can stop at some motel nearby if-"

"No, I'm okay. It's just, you know... girl things." Lisa was surprised at how many lies she had said for today and the day wasn't finished yet.

Lying was inevitable to make her everything feel better. Make him feel like nothing has changed. And she knew she wouldn't try this hard if so.

It's true, she missed him. It's true, she feels the familiar warmth in her heart whenever she looks at him. It's true, she loves him.

But all of it was like a distant memory-a blurry, has been truth. Because now, all she's thinking about was to endure these two days and go home, back to her wife.
