It's almost dinner time and Jennie's great wife hasn't come back yet.

Jennie was waiting at their living room with her laptop, now back to her usual responsible self. She can't stand just lying on the bed. She felt getting worse by doing nothing. Hangover can't make Jennie Kim not Jennie Kim and she had managed to help her two subs at the background.

She trusted Jisoo's capacity to lead, but she's Jennie Kim, she had to make sure they're doing fine. And, she knew now about the Chaeyoung Park's deal.

But hangover is still hangover even if she's the workaholic Jennie Kim. Her mind was still numb to process things about her ex-girlfriend coming back with a genius proposal so, she left that matter on read. Save the worries for tomorrow - a wise philosopher once said.

Speaking of the wise philosopher, Lisa had just arrived at their mansion, exhausted. Her burning fire had died down due to an unavoidable fact she wished she hadn't known. Her wife getting drunk and the gorgeous ex showing up was a very convenient coincidence, she thought with a heavy heart.

Jennie's heart raced fast when she heard the arrival of her wife's car. She tensed up, and suddenly forgot why she's doing what she's doing and what it is that she's doing at the sound of the opening giant front door.

And here comes Lisa, welcomed by her wife's heart-melting gummy smile. She couldn't help but light up at the sight of her beautiful wife she longed for all day. The fire in her reignited, burning all the burdens away.

Jennie stood up seeing her wife's engulfing smile approaching her. She did a great job as per everyone was saying and she's beyond proud of her she wanna jump on her arms-oops wait.

"Hi." Lisa breathed out, eyes glimmering like she's looking at the starry night sky.

Still having no idea how to properly greet each other, no one dared walk nearer, three feet away from each other.

"Hi. How was your day?" Jennie asked like she didn't know. Gays, beware of your wives.

"Ah. It was..it was better if you were there." Lisa decreased the distance, her eyes not leaving her wife's.

The day was sure a hell of a ride, but now, she's home.

"I'm sorry I lost track of time. Jisoo and I just...sort some things." She apologized though not needed, she already texted Jennie beforehand.

Jisoo told her after the g'ddamn meeting and captain thought Lisa would burn down the building right away, but she just sulked there, defeated. The fight hasn't even started.

"I'm hoping the company is still in its whole piece tomorrow." Jennie smiled broader at her weary wife and it worked like a magic wand.

Lisa wanted to kiss her mandu cheeks. Just a proper greeting you know, they're not strangers.

So, she leaned her face towards her wife's, making Jennie's eyes wider than usual, heartbeat abnormal and when she took a grasp of what was happening, she tiptoed to meet her halfway.

"Dinner's ready ma-"

Oops.

-------------------

The interruption of their supposedly kiss on the cheeks, but didn't look like supposed to be on the cheeks, didn't make the couple awkward. They just dined like normal people do, with people around them, all heart eyes.

They talked like their usual talks. They bantered like their usual banters. They found comfort in each other's presence that even silence became home.

Until they have to part and sleep in separate rooms. But then think of each other and replay scenes to their heads memorizing how the other purses her lips, how other's smile takes the other's air and how every little thing summed up to be the only thing that matters.

These thoughts filled their minds and still long for each other's presence. Thinking these things make temporary reality better than endless daydream.

They decided to close their eyes and let sleep drift them away from the agony. And with the certainty of tomorrow, daydream would be ceased. Never enough, time would always be. Sweet is the agony, when they're finally be, in each other's reality.
