While Jess went to answer the door, I hid out in the bathroom due to the unmistakeable hard-on I had. I prayed whoever it was would be gone quickly so I could act out all of the things I had dreamt up on the airplane.
As I took in the luxurious bathroom, I used the brief timeout to think about where I was- paradise, with the most incredible woman. She loved me unconditionally and I loved her the same way. For the first time in my life, I understood what people meant when they said, "When you know, you know."
Before I left to film That Awkward Moment, settling down with anyone was the furthest thing from my mind. I was completely content being a bachelor, hanging out with my friends when I wanted to hang out with my friends, partying like crazy because I could and had no one else to be accountable to. My life was my own and I never thought I'd be willing to give that up, until she came into my life.
How Jess and I came together was so unique, that her and I never really dated in the traditional sense. A little over a month after we made things official, her and I knew each other better than most couples who had been together for years.
I knew it wouldn't be long until we were going to be moving in together and I'd be ready to get down on one knee. I also knew she wasn't ready in that moment - she had been through so much in her last relationship - but I was willing to wait for her.
"Hey, the coast is clear," she called out, breaking me free from my thoughts.
I exited the bathroom and noticed she had closed the curtains while I was gone. I smirked to myself.
"What was that all about?" I asked.
She took in the sight of me still standing at attention for her and I watched as she bit her lower lip and her hand subconsciously grazed her inner thigh.
"The hotel sent us a welcome surprise. Champagne, a coconut cake and a massive fruit tray that I'm going to enjoy as soon as you finish what we started," she smirked.
I approached her and covered her lips with mine, wasting no time letting my tongue explore her mouth. "I can tell you were already enjoying the pineapple," I teased her.
The guiltiest look crept across her face as she replied, "I can't help myself," while shrugging her shoulders.
I playfully pushed her back on the bed and crawled on top of her, dying to have her lips on me.
