Efron and Vanderbilt to Pen Memoir, Star in New Reality TV Series

Hollywood star Zac Efron and socialite Jessica Vanderbilt have a lot happening this year. We previously learned Efron will star in a biopic, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, about notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, which will be released on Netflix in May. Vanderbilt announced at the beginning of this year she will be expanding her namesake line of apparel to include a line of ethically sourced, sustainable home goods.
The pair have been notoriously private about their nearly decade-long relationship with each other, but that's all about to change. It was announced yesterday Vanderbilt and Efron co-authored a memoir of their relationship, The Broken Road, and they will star in a new Reality TV series, aptly titled, The Efrons.
According to the press release, The Broken Road will share, in shocking detail, how the couple transitioned from being costars to dating each other, and what ultimately led to their breakup in 2013 (neither has ever spoken publicly about the details of their split, other than to say Efron's addiction was at the center of it).
Their reality TV show, which has already started filming, aims to give an inside look at where the couple's relationship is now, as they prepare to tie the knot this summer. Efron said via the press release, "We have often held back on what we share about our relationship, and that has led to misconceptions about who we are as individuals and as a couple. We wanted to give an inside look at who we are, leading up to one of the most important times in our life. The book reveals everything about how we got here, to this point. There's a lot that has happened in our past that neither one of us is necessarily proud of, but it is a part of our story. The show really captures everything about who we are now. Like the book, it isn't always beautiful and romantic, but it's real. It's a real depiction of us and I think we're both looking forward to sharing this with everyone."
The Broken Road will be available in bookstores later this month. The Efrons is set to premiere on Bravo on July 15th.
Author's Note - Wow guys! I can't believe this is really it for this book! I never wanted this story to end, but I'm even MORE excited about the sequel! It's titled The Efrons (and you can go read the Prologue now!)
