Zac Efron Takes Jessica Vanderbilt to Dave Franco's Wedding
By E!Online on March 7th, 2017
Rumors that Zac Efron and Jessica Vanderbilt are officially back "on" have quietly circulated ever since the couple was photographed near her Tribeca apartment in January. The former lovebirds, who dated from 2012 to 2013 before calling it quits, have remained radio silent ever since.
This weekend, according to several sources, they very much appeared to be back together at the wedding of their close friends, Dave Franco and Allison Brie, which was held at the St. Regis Hotel in Aspen, Colorado.
"Zac and Jessica arrived separately to Aspen, but appeared to be very much together at the rehearsal dinner and a pre-wedding sledding party on Saturday," said one guest.
Another guest added, "Zac seemed super relaxed with Jess at the rehearsal dinner. They have so many mutual friends in this circle. It was like old times again; they laughed and enjoyed each other's company as well as the company of some of their closest friends."
Still another guest added, "They couldn't keep their hands off each other at the reception. They held each other and danced together the entire night. They have an undeniable chemistry with each other; it was obvious they were trying to keep it under wraps from everyone else, but it kept bubbling to the surface."
While neither shared pictures of their own on social media, Vanderbilt appeared on the Instagram story of best friend Anna Kendrick while preparing for the ceremony in a white gown (all guests were asked to wear either black or white) and Efron appeared in pictures with friends Ryan Rottman and Adam Devine in a classic black suit.
The former lovebirds were also spotted at the hotel's restaurant and spa before flying back to New York City together on Monday night. Efron has been in the city for several months while he films his latest project, The Greatest Showman.
While not specifically referencing Efron, Vanderbilt recently told Vanity Fair, "I'm going to be 30 this year. I'm not 24 anymore. I cherish people who have really impacted my life. So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn't right. But that doesn't mean caring for someone ever goes away."
Who knows? Maybe one day we'll be attending an Efronica wedding after all.

(Jessica's POV)
In the blink of an eye Zac was done filming The Greatest Showman and it was time for him to leave for his Baywatch press tour.
We tip-toed around each other in silence that morning as I prepared breakfast and Zac started to pack his belongings. As soon as we got back from Colorado, he checked out of The Carlyle and stayed with me full time. We had picked up right where we left off – cocooned in our own little oasis with each other.
Everything had been perfect.
Well, almost everything.
As Zac prepared to leave the safety and comfort of the last few weeks we had shared together, overwhelming uncertainty was hanging over us. We were hooked – we had fallen so hard for each other – again – and we had no idea what was next.
Were we fooling each other still? Could we could make a relationship with each other work from opposite sides of the country with no signs of compromise?
Our relationship was a battlefield and the enemy line was holding strong along the opposite coast. We'd attempted to discuss the subject several times, and it would always quickly devolve into an argument with each other.
He thought it was so simple for me to hand my business – something I had built from nothing, had poured my heart and soul into over the last several years – over to someone else and just walk away.
