Reasons

"Hi, Seokjin." Dr. Choi called. "I'm Dr. Choi Soobin."

Jin tried to open his eyes. He just let out a moan to answer.

"He's a doctor Seokjin. He will check on you." Jimin said.

Soobin checked Jin's temperature. "103.2. It's high." Soobin looked at Jimin.

"Do you have a cough or cold Seokjin?" Soobin asked again.

Jin shook his head.

"Any pains?"

Jin cannot answer. His back hurts like hell. He's in total pain and he knew that it's the one causing him a fever.

Jin shook his head once more.

"Let me check on you okay?" Soobin put on his stethoscope and checked on Jin's breathing. But when it's time to check on his back, Jin whimpered in agony the moment Soobin touched his back. And he moaned out the word 'no' when the stethoscope glided on his back.

Jimin and the Doctor looked at each other. Dr. Choi talked to Jimin for a while.

"Was he tortured?" Dr. Choi whispered.

Jimin shook his head. "I'm not sure but he mentioned that water was poured on his face. I don't know if he was beaten up."

Dr. Choi Soobin is Taehyung's private doctor. He knows Taehyung's background and hidden business.

Soobin went back to Jin. "Seokjin, I will check your body okay?"

Jin shook his head.

"I'm sorry but I need to. I need to see what's hurting on your back."

Seokjin's pain from his back and his fever suck all his strength to protest. With the help of Jimin, they were able to lift Jin's shirt.

Jimin and Soobin's eyes widened by the sight of Jin's back. "These are lashes Jimin. This is not Taehyung's. I know him well. He's not into lashing."

"I know." Jimin nodded in agreement.

"We need to wash your wounds Seokjin. Jimin and I will help you stand and wash. Will that be okay?"

Seokjin looked at them and nodded. He knows he needed help this time. He struggled to stand up.

Taehyung

I wonder what took Dr. Choi so long and he's not yet done checking on Seokjin. It's been an hour and it's only a fever.

I tried calling Jimin's number but he's not responding. I stood up.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Namjoon asked.

"I'll go check Jimin and Soobin. It's been an hour. It's only a fever. No reason to check on him that long." I said as I head downstairs.

"So you really think your kitten can escape?" Namjoon said trying to keep up on walking.

"He cannot escape my men but he can knock Jimin down for sure. He's good in self-defense."

Jimin has a weak heart. So for sure, kitten can lure him to help him escape.

Seokjin's room is still open. I can hear Soobin talking from the inside. I took a peak. Seokjin is sleeping soundly.

I heard Namjoon chuckled. "Now I know why you don't want to return him to his father."

Well, Seokjin is undeniably.. handsome.

"He's gorgeous right?"

I just smirked. Namjoon knew me well. I think Seokjin looks even more gorgeous while sleeping. His skin glowing and his pouty plump lips are redder while he sleeps.

"Mr. Kim." My thoughts disturbed by Soobin.

"What took you so long Dr. Choi?" I asked Soobin.

"Mr. Kim, I'm wondering what did your men used to flog him?"

"Flog? No. My men did not whip him."
What kind of question is that? I knew my men well and they will not inflict any pain to people unless I told them to."

"I see. When did you get him?" Soobin asked. His questions are confusing.

"Just this morning."

"Hmmm.." Soobin nods. "Mr. Kim, I believe someone beat him up. He has lashes on his back. Welts, slashes. It's actually very painful. Did you get him with a fever already?"

"I... I don't know. I did not notice. I don't remember touching him." Why I suddenly felt guilty over this?

"Mr. Kim, maybe you got him already with the lashes. Some wounds are deep and I really believe the pain is the one causing him a fever. I already gave Jimin the medicines that he needs to take to lower his fever and to at least lessen the pain he's feeling. His wounds need to be cleaned every day before applying the ointment. He would be needing some help to clean it since all the wounds are on his back. Just call me if his fever or the pain worsens."

I nodded. "Thank you Soobin."

"Anytime Mr. Kim. I have to go now."

Does he have lashes? Where did he get it? Who did that to him? He's showing no signs of pain when I talked to him in the basement. He defended himself from one of my men. He even tried to shoot me.

In all honesty, I admire him for being brave. Trying to hide his physical pain just to face me and to show me that he's not terrified of me.

Now, he's giving me all the reasons to keep him. And to use him against his father.
