A New Enemy?

"How did you find him?" Namjoon asked as I sat down behind my desk.

"I did not find him. He went to me." I corrected. "If I may add, it's your and Yoongi's responsibility to find him. Not mine. I actually want to ask, why both of you weren't able to find him?"

Namjoon rolled his eyes and Yoongi just smirked. Maybe I made them feel ineffective.

"He's very good in hiding right? What do you think?" I teased,. smiling.

Jungkook remained quiet. He doesn't want them to have a clue that he met Jin before Jin met me. That would be a disaster.

Jin went out of Taehyung's office, calm and collected, but with puffy eyes. I knew it, he cannot keep his mouth shut.

"I'll see you at home later. I will come to your best friend's office." Jin said. I don't have the courage to ask if he's okay because obviously he's not. He turned to Jungkook.

"Hyung, can we talk? Over coffee if it's okay?" Jungkook just nods and they went out of the office just in time Taehyung went out of his office.

"Jimin in my -"

His words did not come out. He just stared at Jin and Jungkook going out of the door. I wanted to sink in my seat. Taehyung witnessing Jin went out with Jungkook before talking to me is the real disaster. I think I will receive his wrath first hand.

I'm dead.

"Jimin, in my office." He finally said.

I'm really dead.

I hope he will not fire me.

He's staring at me when I entered his office. His face blank, an eyebrow raised and his arms crossed.

I adjust my coat as I sat down on the chair in front of his table. "I'm sorry boss. I admit my fault." I bowed. It's better to be advance before hearing his rants.

"So you betrayed me?" That's his first question. I honestly thought he would say, you're fired. But I'm glad he did not.

"Boss, I'm really sorry. It's not that I betrayed you but Jin is also my friend. He requested for privacy and who am I not to give that to him? He looked terrible when I saw him. He's hungry, he lost some weight and he looked weak. That's all he wanted boss, privacy. And he was feeling down. His son is his only happiness." I hope he will accept my explanation.

"Since when Jimin?" He asked.

"Jin is with me for a month now. When he left his son to Hoseok." I answered. I shall not lie. What if he already knows the truth and he just want to catch if I'm lying?

His forehead creased. "Excuse me? Since when?"

"When he left his son to Hoseok." I thought I said it clearly. "Why boss?" His reaction confuses me.

He leaned his back on his chair as he stares at me. "There's an information came to me that Jin was in Jeju and working in a shipping vessel."

I am shocked by what he just said. Jin in a shipping vessel? Wasn't it in a seaweed farm?

"Whoever told you that, I'm sure he's lying. Jin is with me. He lost his wallet the day he left Taejin to Hoseok. He had nowhere else to go that's why he called me." So Jin and I were right. Someone's feeding Taehyung wrong information.

I watch Taehyung as he fidgets in his seat. I know there's something wrong. "Boss, I don't know if we're thinking the same thing but I really do think we are."

"Did he tell you where he went when he went missing? After he escaped from the hospital?" He asked me again. With too much curiosity in his tone.

"He really did went to Haenam unintentionally then worked in Jeju. Boss, I guess you should ask first what happened before he went missing." I guess that's the most important part of the puzzle.

"What do you mean?"

"Boss, I guess the car crash was not an accident like what was reported in the news. There was a gun fight before that. Someone pulled Jin out of the car and brought him to the hospital." He just stared at me. I honestly do not know if he understood or if I'm just poor in narrating a story because his face is currently unreadable. "Boss?"

"Just continue Jimin. What happened next?" Okay, at least I know he's listening.

I cleared my throat. "Time skip, he was about to buy a bus ticket back to the port but his wallet got lost. The doctor who took care of him in the hospital appeared at the bus station, gave him water and he fainted. That's the reason why you did not see him there. He was just across the street, at the clinic there, asleep."

"Doctor? What about the doctor? Who is that doctor?" He asked.

"Boss.. remember, there's a doctor who got, well apparently, fired at Noori due to negligence? Jin said, he met the doctor who took care of him in Noori at the bus station. She still recognized him and even gave him water because he looked exhausted. Then he fainted. Boss, what if that doctor is the same doctor who got fired in Noori?" I hope boss will get my point.

He slapped his hand on the table making me startled. "You mean someone's after me again Jimin? And that doctor is one of my enemy's men? Is that what you mean?" His eyes convey anger. Frustration. Disappointment.

"That's our guess." I nod.

"Our?" He asked.

"Yes. My guess and Jin's guess." I mean, who else? "Boss, I don't know the purpose but it seems that person wanted to keep Jin away from you. "

He run his finger through his hair looking very much displeased. "What else did you find out Jimin?"

"That's all boss. I'm just wondering, if you have a new enemy, your enemy should have killed Jin the night the car crashed. But he chose to save Jin. He wanted him alive. I'm just wondering, what's his purpose?" That's what puzzles me.

Taehyung remained quiet. I know what's going on in his head. By this time, it's hard to trust someone. He doesn't know who is his enemy. Well, probably, he still doesn't know.
