She could've gone to a hotel, slept in the car, but she didn't. Instead, she went back to the streets of Gotham. Why? She had enough for an expensive hotel, to be out of the streets, out of the danger. Yet, knowing this, she still chose to walk in the streets late at night.
And danger caught up with her soon enough. Two muggers, both very big and built. They pushed her up a wall and threatened her with their knives. Before Reine could anything to them the muggers were knocked over the head by two bricks.
Reine looked up, looking for who had helped her, she noticed a small figure. The figure jumped down from its hiding place, right in front of her. It was a girl, no older than she was. She had brown curly hair and big green eyes.

"Thank you."

"Who said I did it for you? Maybe I was aiming at you."

"Then I'd probably be dead."

"You should get the hell out of here if you know what's good for you." The girl turned around to leave.

"I have nowhere to go to. Please, wherever you're going, take me with you. I won't last out here by myself."

"I don't let strangers tag along, you're on your own."

"Please! I have some money, I can give you some if you just take me with you." She held out wads of money.

It got the girl's attention, she turned back to Reine. After rolling her eyes she took the money.

"Fine, but you have to do as I say. Got it?"

Reine nodded.

"I'm Reine."

"Selina."

Truth be told, that night Selina almost turned away, it was unlike her to help people. She could've robbed the girl and left, yet here she was, helping her. Maybe she felt bad for her, maybe it was just the money, who knows?
Reine sold the jewelry, she got some better fitting clothes for her, then sold the clothes she stole. The last thing she had was the car which she sold and bought a motorcycle since it was faster and less noticeable.
Selina was able to help her a lot, helping her not get scammed. Reine also helped Selina by stealing things. She had adjusted well with her new life out of Arkham.

"So where did you get all the stuff?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I mean you haven't told me where you got all this super expensive stuff, did run away or something?"

"Something like that."

"Look I don't care where they're from, but since I'm letting you stay with me, I should know something about you. For all, I know you could be an alien."

"I'm not an alien. Besides I don't know much about you either."

"Well, I'm the one who took you in so you have to tell me."

"Look if you want to know so badly, I stole this stuff from my stepdad. He's like a major dick, he so had it coming. I wasn't living with him for some time, but I went over and he replaced all of my mom's stuff. It was like she never existed."

"Where's your mom now?"

"She's dead, some muggers killed her when I was eight."

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

"It's fine."

"My mom's gone too, she left when I was five."

"Guess we somethings in common."
