For some time the twins tried ignoring their newfound abilities. But they just got more difficult to control. And a bit too dangerous. Not to mention they didn't exactly want to tell their father since he seemed like he could break at any moment. Or wanted the guards to catch them with these freaky abilities.

"This can't be happening. This can't be happening. Why is this happening?"

"Joan please calm down. You're going to freak me out."

"How are you not freaked out already! We're freaks. Dad will throw us back in Arkham if he finds out. Hell, we might end up hurting him with our freak powers! Why? Why, did this have to happen now?!"

Joan was desperate, she wished Oswald was still alive. Sure she's still friends with Victor, but seeing as how she hadn't left the manor to even spend time with him, only calling him a few times to check in on each other, she didn't think this was something to push on him.

"I don't think that it would be a better situation if it was at a different time."

"How are you so calm?!"

"I freak out internally.", she said matter-a-factly.

Which she wasn't lying about. She wished she was back with Edward, this is something she could talk to him about. He would know what to do. He's the only one who'd help her not freak out. But she hasn't even attempted to contact him again. Too nervous to talk to him, and with no idea what she'd even say.

"What do we even do now?"

"Who could we go to help us with a dangerous secret such as this?"

The twins didn't know the answer until after the question was said out loud. Then the answer became quite obvious.

Reine had just finished her song and was going to get drunk and high for the rest of the day. She had ordered her drink.

"A little too early isn't it?"

She closed her eyes and let out a sigh. She downed her entire drink to prepare herself.

"Time was made up by greeting card companies, so it doesn't really matter. What are you doing here Coldwells?"

They sat down next to her. But Reine didn't bother looking at them.

"We need your help.", Odette told her.

Reine rolled her eyes.

"Don't you always? I'm not interested, go run to daddy to help you." She signaled the bartender for another drink.

"We have nowhere to go. Please, you need to help us."

"Aren't you friends with the mayor?"

Reine didn't want to deal with whatever first world problem they were having.

"He's not really here anymore..."

"Barbara Kean, then.", she said, desperate for them to leave.

"Yeah, also a big no.", Joan told her.

"We definitely need to stay far away from that woman, for reason. Also, this isn't something they could help us with anyways. We'll tell you everything, but it has to be somewhere more private."

Reine looked at them and could tell this wasn't a usual rich kid problem.

"Fine, but only cause I'm curious."

Reine chucked her drink and led them to one of her hideouts.

"I'm listening.", she said expectantly as she leaned on the edge of a worn-down couch.

They told her everything that went down between Oswald and Edward and their newfound freak powers. The powers thing is what piqued Reine's interest.

"Well... that is a very interesting story. You should make it into a book or something like that.", she said as she went to grab a bottle of half-empty booze that laid on the floor filled with many like it.

"So, will you help us?"

Reine took a swing before answering.

"Well, you were very smart to come to me for help. I'm guessing that was Dette's idea. But, yes I can and will help you. What are sisters for?"

"Thank you, we appreciate it. We can help by paying for bills and-" Odette was interrupted by Reine.

"Okay, if you're going to be staying with me you got to shut up about the whole Coldwell thing. Because I will not be saving you from getting kidnapped or robbed or beaten up. At least if it's because of you being Coldwells. I'm done Coldwell drama, hell I'm done with rich kids drama."

"But-"

"You will have to get a makeover, dress less like some thirty-year-old housewives and more like actual people your actual age... but you know, also poor. You'll also have to make a living the same way I do."

"We will not be sleeping with anyone.", Joan protested.

"I actually meant crimes like shoplifting or other forms of stealing."

"How are we going to be able to steal anything with our freak powers getting in the way?", Joan asks.

"Well, you're also lucky you came to me for that." She turns on a light with a simple flick of her wrist, "Because I can help with that too."

They stared in awe at her.

"Now come on, we're gonna unclean you up, and then we're heading for lunch."

Reine had brought them some clothes, she had to get new ones because she didn't have any of their sizes.
She had gotten Joan some baggy pants and a hoodie, which she actually liked. And for Odette she had gotten some jeans and a plain shirt, she also gave her one of her leather jackets.
Afterward, they went out to eat while eating they also ran into some of Reine's friends who they didn't recognize.

"Hey guys, this Lexi and Darlie. They're runaways, all the way from Starling City."

"What brought you hear to Gotham?", a boy asked them.

"The fact that crime isn't that hard to get away with.", Joan said making the group laugh.

They all talked for a bit, Joan and Odette wanting them to leave long ago.

"Didn't know you had so many friends?"

"What you thought I only had like three friends?"

"No, we're not saying that."

"Good, now come on. We have work to do."

"Yay, the Arkham Sisters together again!", Odette cheered.

"Don't you mean the Arkham Heathens?", Joan pointed out.

"Okay, please don't say that ever again. Or I will punch you.", Reine warned them.

"You're funny, Reine. This is going to be the funniest time we've ever had.", Odette laughed.

"Let's go with funnest cause I wasn't joking."
