Reine had been out when she returned to their hideout that night she found a shot cop, Jim Gordon. Bruce called his butler. His butler came and brought Jim back to Wayne Manor, the three of them came along.
The next morning they had breakfast while Jim explained what happened. Apparently, this guy, Edward Nygma, framed him and was the one who shot him.
"Nygma was right about one thing. I can't just go to the cops. They'll never believe me. I need hard proof."
"Cops, right? Jerks.", Cat says as she grabs a piece of bacon.
"Nygma said he met Penguin for the first time in the woods. That's right around the same time his girlfriend went missing. I think he was burying her. Just like he was going to bury me."
"What? You want to find her body? Touch of the old 'needle in the haystack isn't it?" the butler chimed in.
"Nygma knows where she is."
"What? You think he's gonna, what? Straight tell you?"
"That's exactly what he's gonna do. But I need help."
"Whatever we can do.", Bruce tells him.
"Thanks. But I need someone Barnes knows will betray me."
The three guys all simultaneously turn around and look at Cat and Reine.
"What?" they say with a mouth full of food.
Cat and Reine went to the GCPD.
"Who do we talk to about the reward for Jim Gordon?", the asked loudly.
"Hey! Psst. Come here. Come here.", Bullock tries to grab them, "Come here. Come here."
"Let go of me!"
"We're here for our reward."
"I'll give a reward."
"Bullock!"
Barnes comes up to them.
"Have you seen Jim Gordon?"
"Depends. There really a ten grand?"
"Depends on your information."
"He was at our place a couple of hours ago. He'd been shot."
"Shot? Who shot him?", Harvey asked, worried.
"Didn't say."
"He wasn't making a lot of sense."
"Is he still there now?"
"No, he took off. I don't know where but he was just looking for a place to lie low for a while, I guess."
"That's not worth ten thousand dollars."
"Fine. Before he left he said he'd found out where the Penguin was hiding and he was going to go see him."
"Why would he go see the Penguin?"
"I don't know. Something about, 'Penguin knows where the body is buried.'"
"What bodies?"
"We don't know!"
"Where's the Penguin now?"
"No one knows.", Harvey said.
Barnes looks back to the two girls.
"You're gonna pay us or what?"
"Or what?"
"The hell? Come on Kitty-cat let's get out of here.", Reine says as she grabs Cat's hand.
The girls left the precinct looking pretty pissed.
The plan ended up working, Jim cleared his name, and that Nygma guy was put in Arkham. Reine had been in their hangout when Selina came back pissed. Apparently, Bruce finished his investigation and was going back to being a rich kid. Reine hated seeing Selina like that. She was pretty pissed at Bruce and wished she could do something to make Cat feel better.
