As Odette tries to help Edward venge his girlfriend's death with an idea she got from her time in Arkham, and Joan tries to get Odette over Edward. Reine spends most of her time with Ivy at the conservatory. Ivy loved being around plants, they're better than people. Reine was mostly just avoiding Cat, though she loved spending time with Ivy and joking about smoking some of the plants and flirting.
"God, I want to leave this place. I hate being cooped up in here.", Ivy complained to her.
"I feel you. Of course, I can actually leave anytime I want. Unlike you."
"Can't you just zap us away with your freaky powers?"
"It doesn't really work like that, sorry. You know I remember my mom used to love gardening. She had flowers all over her room. She kept trying to teach me, but I was never as good as her or you."
"Your mother sounds like a great lady. You don't talk about her often."
"Yeah she was, she was also beautiful. Like you are."
Alfred then came in with a tray of breakfast.
"I'll get you some breakfast, miss." He sets the tray down at a table.
"You know, some of these plants would do much better in direct sunlight."
Ivy starts walking over to him.
"Could you turn off the alarm so I can put them outside?"
"Well, maybe later. I'd rather not you walking around the grounds on your own."
"Can you smell this?", she says showing her neck.
"Beg your pardon?"
She gets closer to him.
"Right here."
He smells the perfume on her neck.
"Oh, what is that?"
"Just a mix of clove, fenugreek, and yarrow root oils."
"It's lovely.", Alfred says already under the spell of the hypnotizing perfume.
"It is, isn't it?"
"Yeah."
"Now, I need you to tell me something, okay?"
"Anything."
"How do you turn off the alarm?"
As Ivy turns off the alarm and leaves Reine calls after her.
"When Cat kills you I won't stop her!"
Reine then goes to the library where Selina and Bruce found an engraving on the key. It was a bird, an owl to be precise. When they found out Bruce went to tell Alfred, with Selina and Reine following behind.
"If you're right, merely possessing this key could be seen as breaking your agreement with the people that woman in the owl mask represents."
"Which is why we need to contact them. They have to understand Ivy didn't know what she was stealing."
"Wait, are you guys talking about the court of owls?"
Reine is simply ignored.
"Wait, where is Ivy anyhow?"
They looked towards the open door. Alfred rushes to close it.
"Oh, bloody hell. She's gone."
"How did she disable the alarm?"
"She's a smarter cookie than you think.", Reine tells them.
"Don't worry about that now, all right?"
"What's the big deal? She'll be back when she's hungry."
Just then the phone starts ringing. Alfred goes to pick it up.
"Wayne Manor.", Alfred answers.
Reine gets closer and touches the housing of the phone, without anyone noticing and using her abilities she hears the other end.
"You have the necklace. We have your friend. We'll make exchange, no?", a man with a thick Ukrainian accent says.
"Where and when?"
After being told the address, Alfred drives them there. But when they get there all they see is a manhole.
"We're supposed to go down the manhole?"
Reine stifles a laugh, being very childish.
"That's what they said. All right, give me the key. I'll sort it out."
"No. I need to speak with them personally. Make sure they understand this was a mistake."
"Very well, Master Bruce."
Alfred goes and opens the manhole with a crowbar. They head inside and look around for the Court or Ivy.
"You really think it's the Court? Doesn't seem like the type of place they'd lower themselves to."
"Over there."
"Ivy?"
"It's about time!", Ivy says, she was chained to the wall.
When they go towards her, a group of men comes out of the shadows.
"My name is Bruce Wayne. I need to speak with Kathryn. She needs to understand I've honored our deal."
"Hand over the necklace and you get your friend back. That's the deal."
"You mean the key, don't you? You're not getting it back until I talk to the people you work for."
"Maybe we just kill you and take it?"
"I volunteer as tribute.", Reine raises her arm, but Cat pushes it down.
"You think we're stupid enough to bring it with us?"
Selina walks forward and the men raise their weapons. Alfred and Reine raise their guns.
"You really want it back? I'd listen to him."
"Put the tools down, lads, aye?", Alfred tells them.
After a moment they lower their bows.
"I need reassurances my friends are no longer in danger. I need to speak to the woman in the mask." Bruce gets closer to the men.
"Any assurances that woman gives you are lies."
"How do you know?"
"Because the people you are talking about have no honor. And they will betray you as they betrayed us."
"Wait. You, you don't work for them?"
"I thought that was pretty obvious already.", Reine mutters.
"No, we work to destroy them."
"Who are they?"
"They call themselves the Court of Owls."
"Didn't I already say that? Is it the height? Is that why no one listen to me? Should I start wearing big heels?", Reine says, exasperated.
