Life for the Coldwell twins has been eventful, though maybe not to the same degree as Reine. Though now it's been a bit odder; Odette and Joan had always been together, but now they've been spending less time together. Odette spent most of her time with Edward and Joan would either spend it with Zsasz or Oswald. Joan would see Odette less since Edward wasn't working.
And recently Oswald had been acting strange, he had told Joan how he has seen his father's ghost. She also saw the interview he had with Margaret Hearts, which was a horrible spectacle. His reputation as King of Gotham wasn't going well either. One of the crime families had even kidnapped Edward. Everything was just falling apart.
Of course, meanwhile, Odette knew what was going on really. Edward was the one making Oswald go mad and ruining his reputation. With some help from Barbara too. Everything had fallen into place, now the only thing left was to kill him. Edward had called him, making it seem he had managed to sneak away to the phone, he told Oswald he was at Kane Chemicals. But what was really awaiting Oswald was a vat of acid.
While Edward was doing that, Odette would be waiting at the Sirens, that's where she was when all the lights in Gotham turned off. While there she really started doubting why she was there anyways. Being ignored more by Edward and knowing everyone else didn't see the point of her presence.
Joan was waiting worriedly for Oswald or Odette to return, Oswald didn't let her come along when he went to rescue Edward. After a while of waiting in her room, she heard Oswald's voice coming from downstairs. When she went downstairs she saw Butch and Tabitha, they had knocked out Oswald.
Thankfully they didn't see her and left with Oswald being carried by Butch. Joan started panicking, not knowing what to do next. Wishing her sister was there to give her some answers. Odette was at the Sirens, listening to Barbara talking to Oswald.
"So, here we are."
"I suppose I underestimated you, Barbara."
"It's the curse of great beauty."
"How did it go? You put together what happened to Ed's librarian, turned him against me."
"Honestly, wasn't too hard."
"And then, together, you hatched a plan to destroy everything I made and kill me?"
"Pretty much. And brother did you ever take the bait."
"Well, I hope you're happy at the head of the table."
"You know, the table is more or less littered with dead old dudes, but, hey, it's a place to grow."
"And now you got what you want, you don't need Ed anymore. My, my, it didn't take you long to turn on each other."
"You know, I think of it as a limited partnership that needs dissolving."
"So, I help you find Ed, things go better for me? I don't, you kill me? That about it?"
