Tonight was the Children's Hospital Gala and Reine had agreed to go with Selina. Though it did come to her as a surprise when she found out Selina had gotten her a dress. It was burgundy with a bit of purple.

"It's beautiful."

"Are you crying?", Selina asked a bit amused.

"It's just, I've never gotten a dress like this or gone to one of these rich people things."

"Isn't your step-father rich?"

"Yeah, but I was never invited. I'd always have to stay home. But I'm glad the first one I go to is going to be with you. We can dance, and eat rich food, and of course, steal from those rich people."

"Let's just keep the last thing as priority number one."

After getting ready they headed to the gala. Before going inside, Reine put on a mask.

"Is that thing really necessary?"

"Like you said my step-father is rich. I don't want to risk him finding me."

When they walked in Reine looked in awe.

"Come on. Remember, focus, we're here on business."

"Right, I'll stay focused."

Reine and Selina walked around, working on making some cash. Reine would also enjoy a bit of champagne and food. Though she ended up wandering a bit farther than she should've, ending up backstage. One of the staff came up to her.

"You must be the singer we hired. We almost thought you weren't going to show up."

Next thing Reine knew she was up on stage, singing.

"She's resplendent, so confident
La Seine, La Seine, La Seine

I realize, I'm hypnotized
La Seine, La Seine, La Seine

I hear the moon singing a tune
La Seine, La Seine, La Seine
Is she divine, Is it the wine
La Seine, La Seine, La Seine

I don't know, don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, La Seine and I
I don't know, don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, La Seine and I

I feel alive when I'm beside
La Seine, La Seine, La Seine
From this angle like an angel
La Seine, La Seine, La Seine

I don't know, don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, La Seine and I
I don't know, don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, La Seine and I

Upon the bridge
My heart does beat
Between the waves
We will be saved
The air we breathe
Can you believe?
Learn to forgive upon the bridge

That's how we are, La Seine and I
That's how we are, La Seine and I
That's how we are, La Seine and I
That's how we are, La Seine and I."

After she was done, there were applauses. When she went backstage, she passed the magician. He looked familiar to her.

"Well done out there Miss."

"Thank you."

She headed towards Selina who seemed very much surprised. She had just left a conversation with Bruce Wayne when she saw Reine singing on stage.

"What the hell was that?!"

"Guess I was just made for the stage. It was so awesome, being up there."

"We talked about this remember? We're here trying to get money."

"I know and I was. I just you know took a small break. I'll get right back to work I swear. But before I do, how was I up there?"

Selina gave a long sigh.

"You were fantastic. You should sing more often."

Reine couldn't keep a smile off her face.

Soon the magic show was about to start. Lee Thompkins announced the magician.
Reine had met Lee at Arkham when Lee worked in the medical wing. But she left to work at the GCPD.

"Without further ado, please allow me to present to you the Great Rudolpho."

"I know you hate magicians but-"

"Reine we're working, remember. And you already took your break."

"Fine.", Reine groaned.

Though while working she did manage to look at some of the magician's act. He was going to saw Bruce Wayne in half. The magician seemed really similar and his assistant did too. She just didn't know exactly from where. His voice seemed familiar too. She looked at his hands. That's when she noticed a very familiar poker ring.

"Oh shit.", she said under her breath.
