During the time Maria, Cat's mother, has been here Reine has tried to comfort Cat, who wasn't happy her mother had returned. But then when Bruce came and talked to her, convincing her to give her mom a chance.

Which did worry Reine, since she didn't have a good feeling about the woman.
Though she wasn't going to stop Cat, it was her mother, so it was entirely her choice. She also didn't tell her about her bad feeling, since she didn't have any proof to support it and didn't want to lose Selina when she just got her back.

But everything was going great for the mother and daughter, that is until a man her mother owed money to came and demanded his money. Then he saw that they were friends with Bruce Wayne and wanted him to pay.

Cat was very much against it. Reine also didn't like it, and the bad feeling she had was growing.
She also felt absolutely useless in this scenario.

Though she wishes she could be there to continue supporting her, but she had gotten a call from James Gordon. So she had to leave and see what the cop wanted, hopefully, it wasn't her behind bars.

"Hello, James, Harvey. What'd you call for?" She sat on the table in front of the men.

He showed her a picture of a graffiti if it was a smiling face with the smile made out of ha's.

"You know about this sign?"

She raised an eyebrow as she took a look at the picture.

"You mean Jerome's cult?"

"What do you know about it?"

Reine sighed. She had really hoped to avoid anything about this topic, for a while at least. Maybe another yea

"Well, I'm not in it if that's what you're wondering. I'm a leader, not a follower. I have gotten invitations to it. News has gotten out that I was the girl in the mask that night, so...", she rolled her eyes. "Why so interested in those morons anyways? Please don't tell me the whole 'Awakening' thing is starting."

The Awakening, the fanatics planned was the only thing she thought would warrant Jim Gordon's attention.

"You know about them trying to resurrect Jerome?"

She was kinda hoping they wouldn't have any idea what she was talking about and they had just decided that stopping fanatics in weird costumes having weird conventions was a priority to the GCPD now.

"Well duh. I should be the first person wanting him back, but I think what's dead should stay dead. Please tell me those morons don't have him."

She wouldn't trust those idiots with a pet rock, let alone her dead guy-she-sort-of-dating's body.

"They stole his body last night."

"Great, absolutely fucking amazing." She sighed.
"Look, I don't know much at the moment, but if I find anything I'll tell you. Believe me, I'm the first one that wants to punch them in the face. Just don't get used to me helping you guys out, this a one-time thing."

That's when Mr. Fox came with a map.

"I think I got something."

He placed the map on the table.

"You asked what Dwight would need to revive Jerome. That girl, Melanie Blake, his test subject, she received thousands of volts of electricity. That amount-"

"Would cause a power surge in the electric grid.", both Reine and James answered at the same time.

"I was about to say that would cause a power surge in the electric grid."

"Sure you were Harvey.", Reine told him.

Fox pointed at a powerplant on the map.

"Here. Ninth and Henry. The power company recorded several surges around the time Melanie Blake would have been brought back, and multiple surges as recent as fifteen minutes ago, same location."

"I'll get the Strike Force.", Harvey said as he walked away.

"I'll get the car.", Jim said as he left.

"I'll just... stay here if that's okay.", Fox called after them.

"Ditto, Mr. Fox.", Reine told him as she patted his shoulder.

She left to look around the precinct, to waste time while waiting for Jim to come back with Jerome's body. She stepped into the Medical Examiner's office, where she found Lee Thompkins.

"Well, if it isn't Lee Thompkins."

Lee turned from her paperwork to the girl. She sighed when she saw who it was.
She had a soft spot for the girl, knowing she had gone through a lot for someone so young. Though she also knew to be wary of her, she survived for a reason. She had seen first hand her victims that had thought she was just a weak little girl.

"Reine, I heard you've been out of Arkham."

"Yep, it's nice to properly see you this time without a mask in the way."

"Of course that was you.", she said as she rolled her eyes.

"I bet you don't miss it either, Arkham, no more need to take care of all those people I put in the infirmary."

Reine loved reminiscing about her old victims. They were the only time she'd go to the infirmary, she'd visit them to either finish the job or make sure they knew their place.

"Is there something you need, Reine?"

"Right, you're probably in no mood to talk, mourning your husband and all. Look, I know they'll bring Jerome's body here when they get back. So, I just wanted to know if I could have a moment alone, to say goodbye. It won't take long, I have a girl- someone I have to get back to anyways, after dealing with this whole Jerome and the cult situation."

"I don't-"

"Please. I- I just need to say goodbye. He might've been a crazy criminal, but he was also my... He was special to me, okay? I just want to see him one last time." She could feel tears covering her eyes. She hated being so vulnerable in front of the doctor, they were very few people that saw her like this.

"I- okay, I can give you a few minutes."

Reine wipes her eyes before tears can come out.

"Thanks, I appreciate it." She starts walking towards the door, "I'm going to take a smoke break."

"You shouldn't be smoking at your age."

"I shouldn't be doing many things at my age."

She goes outside and takes out a cigarette. She looks at it and without using a lighter, she lights the cigarette. As she smokes she thinks whether she should've gone ahead of the cops to the power plant. She could've easily gone there with her abilities.

But she had almost lost control of them yesterday, and if she was in a power plant it would be more dangerous. Besides she never traveled that far with her abilities. It's better for her to wait here.
She was just excited and extremely nervous to see Jerome again, even if he'll still be dead.
