A while later, Reine came back to their place pretty pissed.
"That stupid tiny Pike brother had to go get himself killed. I was so close to going on a date with Bridgit."
"Weren't you like still heartbroken about that ginger guy."
"What? No. Like we had something together, but he's dead now. And Bridgit isn't."
"You can't just use Bridgit as some kind of rebound."
"I'm not. Like at first it was just flirting, but I legit want to go on a date with her. If it was just a rebound then I wouldn't go through all this trouble. I'm over him, trust me."
That night Cat and Reine were by one of the buildings Bridgit was suppose to burn down. But something went wrong and the cops showed up, Bridgit ended up burning one of them. Reine and Cat helped Bridgit out.
"Bridgit! Come on, hurry."
They pulled down a latter from a fire escape.
"Quick, follow us."
"Where are we going?"
"Home, come now sweetheart, we don't have much time."
Bridgit starts following them.
The next morning they are awakened by the sound of Bridgit cleaning.
"What are you doing?"
"I can't sleep. I don't know what to with myself."
"Well, I have a couple of things in mind."
Cat threw a pillow at Reine's face.
"That's the point of being free. You get to do whatever the hell you want."
"What am I gonna do? I killed someone last night. I can't go home. I can't go to the police."
"You gotta get out of town."
"Well, we don't need to jump to that just yet."
"How? I got no money."
"No problem. We'll get some." Selina retorted.
"You mean, like crime."
"Man, you are square."
"A beautiful square if I do say so myself."
"I guess I got no choice. Why are helping me?"
"Maybe you remind me of me if I was a doofus. Also, Reine thinks your hot."
"I very much do. But I'd also like to do my nice act of the month."
"This crime... what exactly you got in mind?"
Reine and Cat looked at each other, both knowing what they're gonna do.
"Those girls are for sale?" Bridgit asked as bidding for two women was taking place.
"Told you this place was freaky."
"We need to help them."
"We're here to help you. Cause you killed a cop, remember? We get the money, we go."
"If don't then we get killed. And I just had my nails done so.."
"But-"
"Listen, listen."
Bridgit and Reine walk over to Cat.
"You go down the stairs. The lock on the back door is busted. I know, cause I busted it. You go in, wait for us to make our move."
"How will I know when?"
"Pay attention."
"You'll do great, sweetheart."
With that, they left. They got in, shot at the ceiling to get their attention.
"Hey, pervs! This is a robbery."
"Milo, kill those punks."
Before he could fire Bridgit got there and used her flamethrower.
"That's what I thought asshole."
"She's with us. Now, each of you put all your cash in the bag."
"It's not like you guys are spending it wisely."
"Or what? I ain't scared of you."
Bridgit used her flamethrower again. The guy barely got away with his jacket protecting him.
"Yeah, all right.", he put his money in the bag.
"Anybody else got a problem?"
"Yeah, I didn't think so."
They collected all the money then started leaving.
"And for the record, all y'all suck!"
"Go fuck yourselves assholes!", Reine said while holding out the middle finger.
Bridgit used the flamethrower before leaving. When they go outside one of the guards is about to chase them when Bridgit uses her flamethrower to scare him off. They go behind a car, laughing.
"Oh my God!"
"I know right."
Then run back home.
"Well, I'm beat so..."
"Good night Selina."
"Night Kitty."
"Good luck.", she whispered to Reine before leaving.
"You know Bridgit, I don't know who's hotter you or your flamethrower. Though together, now that's even hotter."
They both start laughing.
"I'm sorry, my game isn't as good as used to."
"No, it's fine. You're very flattering."
"Look, tonight is your last night in Gotham. I'd like to spend it with you. Have a couple of drinks, I know this nice hotel it doesn't cost much so we could party there, they have great snacks. It'll be my treat, a sort of goodbye gift/party. It's cool if you don't-"
"I'd love to."
"Really?"
"Yeah, let's do this."
The next day Cat and Reine walked with Bridgit on her way to the bus stop.
"When you get to the bus station take the first bus south. Stay on till the end of the line."
"Well, what do I do then?"
"You got plenty of money. You can do what you like."
"Maybe giving me a call could be one of those things one day."
"Thank you. For everything. You've been really good friends."
"I got my cut. No biggie."
"I'm happy that I was of help."
Bridgit pulled Cat and Reine in for a hug.
Then suddenly a van comes racing in. It was the Pike brothers.
"Bridgit you need to run!"
"Bridgit go now!"
They grabbed Bridgit and Cat's and Reine's attempts to grab were useless. One of the brothers came out with a shotgun, Selina managed to wrestle it out of his arms, but Reine got shot in the arm. As they raced off Cat and Reine chased them, but they didn't get far.
"I'll go get bandaged up, you get the guns, we're getting her back."
