Isabella's POV

When I woke up the next morning I found myself still wearing the hoodie Lukas gave me. It was just so soft I didn't want to take it off and it also didn't help that it smelled so freaking good. It smelled like cinnamon and wood and for some reason it made me think of Christmas and advent calendars. As much as I wanted to keep it, I had to give it back but I didn't want to face him. I had to swing by Mia's on my way to school because she texted me that she wanted to walk together. So, I decided to just drop off the hoodie at her place and she could just give it to her brother.

When I stood in front of my closet all I could think about was, I had to step out of my comfort zone. I was in college now and I didn't need to cover up bruises anymore so I could wear whatever I wanted. I decide to wear a dark denim jeans and a black top. For shoes, I decided to be bold and wear my heeled boots that lace up in the front. I bought them to make a statement but they just kept stuck in the shoebox, until now. I brushed my hair and quickly applied some makeup before throwing on a dark green jacket and taking my books of my desk.

On my way to Mia's I kept thinking about Drew. I had never kissed someone I knew for such a short amount of time. It was out of character but bold. I like Isabella 2.0, she's brave and isn't afraid of anything.

When I arrived at Mia's door I knocked and when nobody opened I knocked again, louder this time. Much to my surprise someone else opened the door. Who? The person I was determined to avoid. Lukas fucking asshole opened the door with a visible just out of bed look on his face.

"What do you want?" He said while still rubbing his sleepy eyes. Oh god, he's not wearing a shirt. I noticed his bare chest and I have to admit I was staring. It was covered with some random tattoos, even the one that poked up his T-shirt yesterday was in full view. It was a wing that started at his collarbone and went up the side of his neck. It was beautiful and my fingers were tingling with the urge to trace the ink.

"I'm here for Mia. What are you doing here?" I told him still staring at the painted view in front of me.

"Oh Isabella." He stopped rubbing his eyes when he heard it was me and he looked at my face but his eyes quickly wandered off to my top and eventually to my boots before a smirk appeared on his lips. "I live here." Going over to Mia's just got complicated. "You look...Uuhm... Different." He said with a smirk.

"Is Mia here?" I ask with intended coldness in my voice. Do not get distracted by his appearance Isabella, he is still a douchebag...

"Still in the bathroom. Come in." He gestured me to come in but I wasn't going to force myself into an awkward morning talk in the living room with a shirtless guy while I waited for my friend. Not today.

"I'm good." I said which caused him to frown his brows. "Uuhm, I brought your hoodie." I gave him the hoodie, he took it with both hands and looked at it confused.

"You didn't have to swing by just to give it back. I wouldn't have minded if you held on to it." He said, biting down on his bottom lip.

"Why would I want to do that? Besides, I didn't know you lived here, I was going to give it to Mia."

"Okay, fine. Are you going to keep standing in the hallway or are you coming in?" He said with a certain hint of frustration to his voice while throwing the hoodie on. When he flexed to put the hoodie over his head I could see every muscle move under his skin until the fabric fell over it blocking my sight.

"I told you, I'm good." I sighed, trying to look away from him but failing miserably being mesmerized by his grey eyes.

"Isabella." He said while leaning his back against the doorpost, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "I meant what I said yesterday. Stay away from Drew."
