Isabella's POV
Mia and I stood together in front of the Kappa Sigma house with matching outfits. Mia had given me one of her little black dresses and I was surprised that it fit me. It was way too tight and breathing was kind of hard, but hey who needs to breathe, as long as you look pretty. The dress was a bit too sexy for my liking, but Lukas was going to be there, and I bet he was going to like the off the shoulder neckline a lot more than I did.
"Are you ready to party?" Mia said while taking my hand and dragging me inside, not wasting any time by pulling us to the kitchen to get some drinks. "Here let's do some shots and head over to the dancefloor." She chuckled while handing me a shot of some sweet-smelling liquor. No idea what it was but it was going to burn my throat and make my head spin. Do I want this? Do I want to go down the same road as my parents? Don't overthink it, I'm nothing like them. I can let loose even if it's for just one night. I convinced myself before tilting my head back and letting the liquid coat my throat. Damn I was right, that burned like hell.
After two more shots I was already tipsy due to my lack of resistance and I wanted to dance and forget about everything that happened the last few days. But in walked Olivia and I was sure she was only here to ruin my fun. She had seen me and Lukas being cozy in the hallway earlier today and I had to find out what it was she heard. She better not know about Jason or she's going to ruin everything. I gave Olivia a once over, observing her red skanky dress. She obviously didn't get the memo that it was a BLACK party, that or she's just an attention whore, I'm picking option number two... Arrgg... Her brown hair is straightened and pulled into a way to tight ponytail...Couldn't hurt her head, there's not much in it.
Olivia caught me staring and gave me a killer look projecting every bit of despise she had towards me, her long nails tapping on the kitchen counter.
"Hey Mia, why don't you head to the dancefloor, I'm coming in a sec." I said while keeping my eyes on Olivia. The bitch wants a stare down, she's going to get one.I'm done hiding in a corner and letting people like her walk over me.
"Are you sure? She looks like she's going to attack you with her nasty claws." Mia giggled while looking at Mia who hissed at her words.
"Let her try." I chuckled.Man, didn't know being tipsy would give me the confidence I always wanted.I had to be careful though, I did not want to become dependent of the substance that destroyed my family, ever, no matter how much it boosted my courage to stand up to people like Olivia. Mia disappeared in the crowd and as soon as I saw her head vanish behind the tall frames dancing, Olivia stepped closer to me as intimidating as she could. Oh boy. "What do you want?" I snapped at her, the expression on her face surprised as I fiercely opened my mouth.
"Well, look who has found her tongue." She said before clacking her own tongue between her teeth, ignoring the other people coming in and out of the kitchen. She took a shot and tilted her head back, downing the shot in one take before putting the glass upside down on the counter followed by a sharp sound of glass hitting marble. Bitch.I can do that too.I repeated her action, downing another shot which added to my already dizzy state.
"What do you want." I repeated while rolling my eyes at her, something she didn't like as she took another step towards me, her face too close to mine for my liking.
"What's going on between you and Lukas." She tiled her head to the side while putting a hand in her waist, expecting an immediate answer.
"Oh yeah that's right, you were kind of spying on us yesterday because you have nothing better to do with your miserable life." I snapped, containing myself not to laugh. I was clearly getting on her nerves as she shook her head and wetted her lips with her tongue, getting ready to react.
