Isabella's POV
As soon as I caught a glimpse of the two bitches walking into the diner and my ears were deafened by their stupid high-pitched squeals, I felt my eyes roll to the back of my head. This shift couldn't get any worse, could it.
Don't come over here, don't come over here. Damnit they're coming over here. I noticed as I wanted to sink away behind the counter. I wanted to disappear for real now cause these two were worse than a set of horny college guys. "Oh hi there, look who works here... That's a coincidence." Olivia said, taking a place at one of the stools at the bar, her cousin following her. I'm sure, I'm sure it's a coincidence. I felt my eyes roll again. "What's up?" She said with an ominous grin on her face.
"I'm working as you may or may not notice." I continued cleaning the counter like they weren't there, but Olivia grabbed my wrist to continue to speak.
"Rumor has it you and Mia are no longer friends?" She said, as I pulled away my wrist from her nasty claws.
"Are you here for gossip or are you going to order something." I scoffed at her, not answering her question.
The smirk on both their faces grew larger the more I tried to deny it. "I guess that's a yes. Ha! I knew it." The girl next to her, Jess was her name, I guess. That's what Lukas told me last time at the club.
"Are you going to order something?" I said, taking out my notebook and a pen. Olivia rolled her eyes at me, like it was something new. "And who told you that?" I couldn't resist to know where the rumor started.
"Two vanilla milkshakes." That Jess girl said dry, pulling of the bitchiest face of bitch faces. It tried to ignore that to the best of my abilities, taking the order.
As I turned around to take the note to the kitchen just behind me, I heard Olivia's annoying voice speak up again. "We ran into Mia earlier today. She couldn't stop talking about how much she hated you." If I would have turned around, then I would have yelled something again. Instead of letting them get the better of me I didn't turn around and bit my lip. Yet the thought of Mia telling them about our fight and about how much she hated me broke my heart. Again. She hates them just as much as I do, how could she tell them. Guess she hates me more now...
I gave the note to the kitchen and waited while I fell back into a hole. My life couldn't go more up and down than right now. Lukas being my only ups, the only thing I could hold on to before falling into a ravine. If I were to lose him, I was going to break completely. The thought of him abandoning me like everyone else in my life made my stomach twist to the point I thought I was going to throw up. He's not like that. He loves me when everyone else hates me. He would never h-" The soft ring of the kitchen bell telling me the order was ready pulled me out of my thoughts for the second time today.
Much against my will I took the milkshakes and carefully rolled towards the corner of bitches, setting them in from of Olivia and Jess. I didn't want to speak to them, not even in the slightest, not even if Gregory would pay me double to do so, no matter how hard I needed the money.
Without granting them a look I wanted to turn away, Olivia's bone crushing voice stopping me in my tracks once more. "You can't blame Mia for breaking up your precious little friendship... After all who wants to be friends with you?" I heard her chuckle, the anger boiling in my palm and the damage done by her words making my heartbeat throb in my head.
I turned around, watching both of them taking a sip from their milkshake with a smirk pasted across their faces. I'm so done with this! I could bite my lip as hard as I wanted but at this point I was a ticking timebomb waiting to explode. I just couldn't take it anymore. All of it.
