Isabella's POV
"Are we there yet?" I couldn't contain my curiosity any longer as I watched the road for the last hour, wondering where he was going to take me.
"What are you, five?" He laughed looking at me, the smug humor gleaming from his eyes. He was enjoying this way too much, holding back the destination of this surprise journey. I squeezed my eyes as his words, pulling up my top lip. "Are you ready for it?" He smiled; his eyes filled with joy but all I saw was an uphill road with oddly shaped trees next to it going nowhere.
"Ready for what Lukas, we have been driving for an hour and all I have seen is concrete roa-"
"This." He cut me of keeping his eyes on me as if he was about to inspect my expression and holy moly, he had every reason to when the car reached the top of the hill and the trees disappeared. I was mesmerized by the grey of the sky, the gold of the sun seeping through the clouds and the blue of the ocean. The freaking ocean.
"Lukas..." I whispered, completely shook by the view in front of me an quite frankly, the one next to me too and we rode on a cliff, the ocean on the background as I watched Lukas, my jaw somewhere at my feet. "Lukas..."
"Speechless aren't you." He smiled, when he got exactly the reaction from me he was hoping for.
"I have never been to the ocean before." I said, taking in every detail of this view. From the birds floating just above the water, the colorful cafes at the shore and the long pier forming the horizon dividing the sky and the water.
"I was kind of hoping for that." He smiled, taking my hand as I couldn't keep my eyes of the view. "Happy?" He asked a grin on his lips and his thumb circling on my skin.
"Yes." Was all my speechless mind could say. That and a face wide smile lighting up his eyes. His smile turned into a smirk and his hand let go of mine.
"Roll down your window." He urged as he started rolling down the window on his side, the warm dry wind entering the car making his hair fly in a thousand directions at once.
"Why?" I asked although I knew I just should do it.
"Bells, roll down that window, trust me." He said, looking over at me, his head resting against his seat. I shook my head with a smile on my face, as I rolled down the window, the breeze on my face colder than expected but oh so nice. "Now scream." He said and I looked at him, my brows frowned. "Don't look at me like that, just scream." He laughed, pulling up his brows at me to urge me to do it but I was seriously doubting his decision here, what if someone heard us. He caught my doubts with his typical eyeroll and stuck his head out of the window. "Like this!" He laughed and started yelling at the wind, sticking one arm out of the window. "Come on Bells, let it all out!" He yelled smiling into the wind, his messy hair flying like a wild bush.
I love this goof! I thought when shaking my head before sticking it out of the window and yelling against the force of the breeze, sticking my arms out of the window and letting a ray of sun hit my face. While yelling at the top of my lungs I felt so liberated, free, healed, myself and in love.
While I was still yelling and cheering into the view Lukas stopped at a lookout point and as soon as he stopped the car in pulled my head inside, not hesitating the slightest second. With enthusiasm I went at him, putting my hands on both sides of his face and smacking my lips against his. "I love you, I love you, I love you!" I said in between kisses, the biggest smile on my lips.
He pulled back, looking at me with the same smile lingering on his lips as he pushed my hair from my face. "I love you too." He chuckled.
"I love you more!" I said as cliché as it was, my voice echoing through the car as I went at him again. His lips on mine feeling so exciting like I was kissing him for the first time.
