Isabella's POV

"Guys I don't have all day... Why don't you come back when you solved your little problem..." The guy behind the desk said, raising his voice. You're definitely not employee of the month.

"You don't have to be rude. A Size 6.5 for me please." I said not even trying to stay polite while I smiled at Lukas, taking his hand in mine, intertwining our fingers.

I felt his hand relax in mine the moment I smiled at him. "Size 10 for me." Lukas said to the guy, who went to the aisle to get our skates. "So, you don't want to go home?" He whispered leaning to the side to be closer to me.

"I'm sorry, I just thought..." I sighed, trying to find words to explain why I acted like a child, moping around over a stupid joke. "Never mind I shouldn't have reacted like that. I don't want to go home Lukas." I almost stuttered, pushing the words past my shame, hoping he wouldn't like me less for overreacting.

He turned to me, his eyes filled with relief instead of the expected aversion "Good, neither do I. Bells I m-"

"Here are your skates, don't try to break your neck." The guy from before scoffed after giving me a once over, slowly and I knew that at this point it had Lukas rolling his eyes.

"Dude keep your eyeballs in their sockets, that's my date you're drooling on." Lukas scoffed back at him while taking his skates from the desk same time I took mine, not letting go of his hand.

"Seemed like minutes ago she wanted to run away from you. Fast." The guy rolled his brown eyes and I could feel Lukas's frustration build up as he started to squeeze my hand.

"You must really hate your job..." I quickly said to the guy before taking Lukas's hand and dragging him away before he'd punch the guy in the face. I stopped at a bench, putting my skates on the ground before sitting down.

I pulled Lukas's hand down to join me on the bench, pulling him close to me, nudging him with my shoulder. "I'm sorry." He said shaking his head before putting his hand through his hair.

"What for? For not checking the reviews on the staff on yelp?" I chuckled while taking off my high tops. Looking to the side to see him watching my every move.

"For everything. For making that stupid joke, bringing you here." He said, unable to hide the disappointment in his voice, but he wasn't the one who needed to apologize, I was.

"No, I am sorry for being bothered by those girls. I-I just overthink sometimes. I just don't know how to compete with them." I said, stopping to take my shoes off for a second, just to face him, his eyes carefully focused on mine.

My words made Lukas shake his head with disbelief before slightly parting his lips to speak. "Bella, I meant every word I said. You're a whole different league. Trust me when I say you're not competing with anyone." He said, frowning his brows at the thought of me worrying about such a thing.

"I know. I'm sorry." I said taking in his lovely words that melted my heart like a piece of chocolate in the sun. He really meant it. "Lukas, you are more than enough." I said while taking his hand, and quickly kissing his cheek, letting my lips linger before slowly pulling away, his face following my movement, keeping our lips close.

"This date is a mess." He whispered while sighing deeply, his minty breath fanning over my lips, making me want to kiss his.

"First dates always are, but if you ask me it's pretty perfect so far." I said, putting my hand in his neck to pull him closer, brushing my lips over his, closing the gap by pressing our lips against each other. Lukas slowly pulled back, his hand putting a strand of blonde hair behind my ear before leaning back in, kissing my slowly but with enough intent it made the pit of my stomach tingle. Both of us felt a pair of eyes staring at us and when we simultaneous looked to the side we saw the guy behind the skate desk watching us. I couldn't help it and leaned in, kissing Lukas again, this kiss to show the guy I was his.
