Isabella's POV
I knew running away from my parents would change my life drastically, but I never thought the fear of them would come with me. I didn't always let it take over my life, but it was always there somehow. Taking control over certain situations where I normally would have felt cornered, really gave me the confidence I lacked. All it took was a certain asshole with a charming smile showing me the ropes of self-defense.
"So, are you ready?" Lukas smiled at me as he adjusted the cap on his head, turning it backwards again. He should wear that more often; it looks so damn good on him!
"Depends on where we're going." I shrugged my shoulders with a grin on my face, trying my best to get a hint while looking at the hoodie in his hand. It was new, and of course that had caught my attention earlier. It had a white graphic design on the back, it stood out from all his other hoodies and looked beyond unique.
"You want it don't you?" He looked at me through his lashes, his playful grey eyes amused, as he looked down at the hoodie in his hands. "You know you already stole that one?" He laughed pointing at the one I was holding.
"I didn't steal it, you left it at my place." I sheepishly smirked at him as my eyes looked at him, begging him to give me the other one.
"You're not going to stop looking at me like that are you?" He shook his head while giving me his signature smoldering look. Hot damn.
"Nope." I giggled, I genuinely giggled at that.
"Fine, give me back the old one then." He grinned, while he playfully threw his one at my face, the soft fabric smelling delicious as my nose, well my entire face was covered by it.
"Hey, you didn't have to throw it at me." I chuckled, pulling it away from my face while I pushed the other one in his hands.
"You can't have everything Baby." He laughed as he quickly pulled the light grey one over his head, minding the cap as well.
I shook my head at him, loving how relaxed I felt around him. I soon as the hoodie flopped over my head I saw the satisfied look on his face, his hands gently pulling my hair out of the collar. It was the smallest yet sweetest gesture that made me love him even more. He didn't need to say a word to tell me how much he loved me. I could see it in the way he looked at me, the way his fingers were always soft against my skin and the way his lips now lightly brushed over mine, lingering just enough to mean more than just a simple peck. "What?" I whispered, not wanting to disturb how soft and intimate this moment was.
"Don't give this one back. Ever. It's pretty special to me." He whispered before leaning back in to taste my lips once more.
"Why?" I carefully asked, curious to know how a piece of fabric could mean something special to a person.
"I designed the pattern on the back." He shrugged his shoulders as if it was nothing. He always did that, downgrade his own talent. Like it didn't make him special while I knew he was never ordinary and never will be.
"No way." I said surprised, and that was what he seemed to do over and over again, surprise me in every way possible. "You just keep surprising me Lukas." I shook my head with a smile on my face as I grabbed his hand, intertwining his fingers with mine. "Now it's pretty special to me too." I rubbed my thumb against this his, and he closed his eyes to enjoy the moment. I nervously shifted my weight from one foot to the other. "Talking about surprises... What are you planning?" I smiled at him and he playfully rolled his eyes at me.
"You're an impatient pain in the ass. You'll see when we get there." He smirked while pulling me out of the room that was priory filled with too much sexual tension. "First we're going to my car." He said, grinning ear to ear.
