Alexis' Point of View

"I... I brought some food."

Hyo-Sonn sat beside me and handed me a paper bag. I glanced at her before looking at the gravestone in front of me.

"You're not eating healthily lately..." She muttered, trying to strike a conversation.

"Eating's not going to change anything." I replied. "It's not going to bring her back."

"Take care of yourself Alexis... She won't like what you're doing to yourself right now."

I didn't bother to reply again. We were silent for atleast five minutes when she decided to break the silence and hand me an ube bread.

"I'm here to keep you sane... It's been a month since she... The incident happen." She stated. "Do you want to talk about it? I promise I will listen."

"Talking about it won't bring her back either."

"But atleast it helps you lessen your grief." She retorted. "Come on, I know how bad you want a shoulder to cry on..."

I took a deep breathe. How should I start?

"Can you tell me who she is?"

"She's my world." I replied nonchalantly without hesitations.

She clicked her tongue. "Cliché... But okay." She looked at me. "Can you tell me how you met?"

I began telling Hyo-Sonn everything. She listened thoroughly, but snapped when I got to the last part.

"You what? You left her hanging?" She gaped, unable to process what I told her.

"Geoui... I thought she's dating my bestfriend."

"What gave you that idea?"

"A photo my former classmate gave me." I sighed and balled my hands into fists as I remember the picture. "They're out on a date, just the two of them."

"And that's enough proof?" Hyo-Sonn furrowed her brows. "They could be waiting for their other friends... You just jumped into conclusions?"

"There's like... seven photos of them together." I told her, scoffing a little bit. "I didn't believed her at first."

"Her?"

"The sender." I answered.

"Can I know her name?" She asked.

"Raina Morales."

"Still, you could've asked her directly." She retorted, obviously bothered.

"I was a stupid idiot."

"Yeah... I guess you were."

After Jaylie woke up.

Jan Rui's Point of View

"Sa tingin mo ayos lang kaya siya?" Tanong ko kay Daphne.

"Ayos lang siya."

"May masakit kaya sa kaniya?" Tanong ko pa, nag-aalala.

"Meron. Pero matatag si Jaylie, hindi agad yan magkakasakit."

Napabuntong-hininga ako. I wish I could joke to cheer myself up at a time like this, but seeing Jaylie confused and hurt pains me too.

May naalala akong sinabi niya.

"Sino si Alexis, Daphne?"

Nagkibit-balikat siya.

"Ang kilala ko lang na Alexis ay si Allexis Benedicto from Elementary. Yung mayabang na akala mo kung sinong gwapo, patpatin naman."

Napangisi ako sa alaala. Siya yung lalaking nasuntok ko noong Grade four kami dahil sinabuyan ng lupang may bulate si Jaylie at nanghamon ng away. Na-office ako noon dahil nagkaroon siya ng pasa at ilang galos.

"But I guess that's not him." Muling nagsalita si Daphne.

"Malamang. Hindi na nga siya naaalala ni Jay eh.." Sabi ko.

"I think it has something to do with her dream guy." Sagot niya kaya nakinig ako. "Right before she got into an accident, she told me what she wants in a guy... She likes fictional guys by the way."

I sighed with relief. Nagpatuloy naman si Daphne sa pagkukuwento.

"I think she dreamt about him."

"While in coma?"

Tumango siya.

"Pero paano mo naman nalaman?" Nakakunot ang noo kong tanong.

"It's a hunch... Purely based on fictional novels and movies I saw."

Napabuntong-hininga ako.

"Pero Rui, hindi mo kailangang mag-alala. Jay will get through this, trust me cuz." She reassured me.

Pilit nalang akong ngumiti. Kailangan ko lang magtiwala kay Jaylie. Hindi siya mahina kaya malalampasan niya yung nangyayari sa kaniya ngayon.
