What if that being optimistic is just another way to indicate that you are actually being detached from reality? No, no. This has nothing to do with hallucination and other related issues, not imagination either. The 'reality' mentioned here is, our real life.

Life is of course, a set of riddles and challenges for centuries. And there are always answers and ways to cheat  the game of life out there. All we need to do is just to find and collect them. But, again, it is totally an obstacle to find them in this world. We will struggle before even we find one answer to all of our questions. In the quest and adventure or solving our dilemmas, certainly we will receive deep wounds on our body. And that is why, again, we need a brand new kind of defense mechanism; which is by being optimistic.

But, being optimistic is never as simple as it tends to sound like. It is not merely about expecting the best in all possible ways.  Optimism is not simply opposing to pessimism either. Optimism itself is just another shield we need, yet it works in a complex way that not even small metaphors could explain it in the brink of time.

What is it like to be optimistic? The answer is, we are leaving our reality, we are ignorant to the fact that we are vulnerable to the worse outcomes of something; we are being detached from our reality. But that is again perfectly fine, because by taking us away from the reality optimism can directly help us to focus on the greater outcomes that will be coming soon. Being optimistic erases the anxious lingering sensation within one's own chest and that is good enough.
