July 20th - 15 Weeks
Five days after the giant blow up with her family, Rebecca sat in a booth at one of her favorite Ice cream shops in Dublin.
Colby had been quiet the entire week, he was just there to support her the past few days, he didn't try to push any ideas on her or tell her she should try to patch things up before they left in a few days, he just let her do her own thing.
"This stupid ice cream is becoming an obsession" he said as he watched her happily eat the mint chocolate chip ice cream
"You're just mad because you have horrible taste" she said
"No" he shook his head "I'm mad because you're forcing mint chocolate chip on my kid" he said and she shook her head
"I was craving it, so if you want to be technical your kid is the one who wanted it first"
"Fantastic" he said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes and she laughedThey sat for a few minutes in silence as they watched a family of three walk in with their daughter who had a tiara on her head and was in a princess dress and wearing sash saying she was the 'Birthday Girl'
"So cute" Rebecca spoke up and Colby smiled over at her as he looked back at the little girl
"Soon" he said and she nodded running her hand over the bump that had become more noticeable in the last few days "Only 25 more weeks" she said and he shook his head
"It seems like it's so far away but so close at the same time" he said
"Getting nervous yet?" she questioned and he nodded
"Of course" he admitted "but I'm ready for it" he smiled
"I'm more worried about the actual birth than the actual raising of a kid"
"Why?" he asked
"I could die" she stated and his eyes widened
"Rebecca" he shook his head
"What? It's true, I could die.. some women die during child birth"
"Don't even think like that, that's not an option"
"It's not like I'd have a choice in the matter"
"I don't want to talk about you dying" he shook his head "I want to look forward to that day without getting even more freaked out over something that is not going to happen"
"I'm going to give birth to a beautiful baby and it's going to be the best thing in the world and we are all going to live happily ever after" she said and he rolled his eyes
"Thank you" he smiledThey walked around the shops, down by the water and then went to dinner before coming back to the hotel.
Rebecca sat on the bed as Colby pulled a rectangle box from his backpack and walked over to her, sitting down
"While you were out with Katie yesterday, I went looking around at some of the shops and I stumbled across this jewelry store and I went in"
"Colby" she looked at him confused
"It's not what you think it is" he said shaking his head and she let out a deep breath and he handed the box over to her "Open it" he said and she looked at him once more before opening the boxSitting in the box was a silver bracelet, with four charms attached.
"It's a charm bracelet" she said as she admired the piece of jewelry and he nodded
"There's an Ireland charm, speaks for itself" he explained and she nodded with a smile "A microphone, because you're the best on the mic.. plus I couldn't find anything else to represent your career" he pointed to the next charm and she laughed "A four leaf clover" she smiled up at him "and this one is one of my favorite ones" he pointed to the final charm on the bracelet "Little baby feet" he said and tears began to form in her eyes
"This is so beautiful" she said in a whisper as she took it out of the box and admired it closer
"I'm glad you like it" he smiled "and I got the bracelet that had a lot of space on it so you can add more charms if you want" he explained and she nodded
"Put it on me?" she asked in a whisper and he nodded as he took the bracelet from her and carefully unclasped the clasp and placed it on her wrist, making sure it was secure
"You can consider it your lucky charms" he said with a smirk
"My nickname" she said in a whisper and he nodded and she placed a gentle kiss on his lips
