Rebecca and Ella arrived at the arena later in the day on Sunday, the little girl went with Colby while Rebecca met with Ashley and the production team to go over the plans for the night.
Colby didn't have a match tonight which was rare so his undivided attention would be on his daughter whose undivided attention would no doubt be on her mother and her Aunt Ashley.
Rebecca refused to have Ella in the crowd that night, she didn't want her around all of the lights and risk her going into a seizure so she had to sit with Colby back in Gorilla.
Later that night, Ashley finished her makeup while Rebecca was finishing getting her hair done and they both listened to Ella tell them whatever random stories she could come up with in her little mind.
"Good luck Momma" Ella said as she looked up at her mother who was putting her jacket on
"Thank you love" Rebecca bent down and placed a kiss on her daughter's head
"Be careful!" she said sternly and Rebecca nodded as Colby walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her as Ella ran off towards Ashley
"She's right" Colby nodded "I need you back here in one piece" he said and she nodded
"I know" she nodded "Can't be getting married to you in multiple pieces" she said
"I mean we could try it but I don't know how much your mother would like you getting married with scars and bruises all over your body" he said
"She'd probably yell at you" she said and his eyes widened
"Why would she yell at me? I wouldn't have anything to do with it" he said
"because you didn't talk me out of it"
"Has she tried talking you out of anything in your life? You can't talk you out of anything you've set your mind to.. kind of like the week after Ella was born and you told me you were coming back so quickly"
5 years Earlier:
Ella was 10 days old..
"I talked to Mark today" Rebecca said as she sat down on the couch and watched Colby transfer the newborn from her carseat to her swing
"Really?" he questioned as he carefully placed the baby in the swing and turned it on, successfully transferring her and keeping her asleep at the same time was always a win
"Yeah" Rebecca nodded as he sat next to her "Rumble" she said and he looked at her confused "Royal Rumble"
"For what?" he asked with a laugh
"I'm coming back" she said and his eyes widened
"Rebecca that's next month!" he said in disbelief as he shook his head "You just had a baby 10 days ago" he said "There is no way"
"It's six weeks" she said "Which is exactly what Linda said I could start exercising again"
"Yes" he nodded "Exercising, not wrestling an entire match" he shook his head
"I already told him I would be ready to go" she said
"You have lost your mind" he said "All of this sleep deprivation has made you insane" he said and she shook her head and looked over at Ella
"She will be six weeks old at the point, and she will be ready to travel, we will hopefully have her on some type of schedule and I'll be back in time for Mania" she said
"There's no talking you out of this is there?"
"Not a chance" she said shaking her head "Momma is coming back" she smiled and he nodded
"Well as long as Momma is safe that's all I care about" he kissed her lips quickly
Present Time:
"I will say the same thing to you now that I said to you then.. as long as Momma is safe, that's all I care about" he kissed her lips quickly, careful not to mess up her make up because he knew if he messed up the artwork that Mia had spent the last 30 minutes creating he would not only have one woman mad at him but two
"I'll be safe" she nodded kissing him once more
"You're up!" A producer yelled at Ashley and Rebecca and they looked at each other and nodded as they began walking towards gorilla
"Manuel, don't ruin my kid" Rebecca said and Ashley laughed
"He's my favorite" Ella said quickly
"He's only your favorite because he gives you candy" Colby said as he walked over to the duo and Manuel handed the bag of gummy worms to the little girl
"It's sour!" Ella said and Colby rolled his eyes
"You hype her up on sugar, you take her" Rebecca said
"Gladly" Manuel smiled and Ashley laughed
The match lasted 26 minutes. It was 26 minutes of intense and brutal action that Ella turned away from a few times and buried her face in her father's chest which he had to reassure her every time.
After the match was over both men immediately went to their significant other and checked them over once, twice, three times before forcing them both to the trainer to get checked out by the doctors.
Ella ran into the trainers room with two ice packs in her hands and she ran up to Rebecca first and handed it to her and she placed the ice pack on her lower back with a smile. Her daughter was always so attentive towards her after these types of matches
"You know how to handle your mom after these matches all the time don't you?" Steven, the trainer asked the little girl with a smile, he had seen the little girl do this on numerous occasions to both of her parents
"Nurse Ella" Ella nodded with a smile "She makes everything better" she said confidently and Steven laughed as Ella moved to Ashley and handed her the other ice pack
"Ow" Ashley said as she gently placed the ice to her head before pulling it away quickly "Ow" she said repeating the process "Ow" she said again and Ella rolled her eyes before she pushed the blonde's hand with force and held the ice pack to her head
"You gotta keep it there silly" Ella said "It stops swelling" she said and she jumped down and ran over to her backpack "Momma doesn't have any boo boos" Ella shook her head as she pulled out the little pink tin container
"Nope I'm good" Rebecca said looking herself over "but I think Aunt Ashley has a cut on her elbow" she said
"Uh oh" Ella said as she opened the container "WEE WOO WEE WOO!" she yelled, imitating an ambulance as she ran over to the blonde and she looked at her elbow "Don't worry Aunt Ashley.. Nurse Ella will fix it" she said and she placed the hello kitty band aid on her elbow and placed a gentle kiss on it "There.. all better?" she questioned concerned as she looked up at her
"Much better" Ashley nodded "You're the best nurse ever El" she said and the little girl smiled at her
